This study suggests steps for both the Muslim Brotherhood and Coptic Christians to take to improve their integration together. It is also necessary to move from caring about the religious aspect of values to civic ones and to move from focusing on their private identities to collective social identities. Subordinating parties own private culture to the mainstream cultural context. In addition, the Muslim Brotherhood needs to recall historical memories and symbols that could encourage the process of integration, instead of recalling historical events and symbols that encourage the superiority of one party over others.
