Fear and chaos has descended upon THIRD-i, as the enemy makes a deadly strike right in the heart of HQ. The terrifying spectre of 'Bloody-X' has reared its head and claimed its first victim... While Kano continues his foolhardy mission of staying on the terrorist' tail, THIRD-i command centre is in a panic. 14 people have possibly been infected, and an outbreak could occur Fear and chaos has descended upon THIRD-i, as the enemy makes a deadly strike right in the heart of HQ. The terrifying spectre of 'Bloody-X' has reared its head and claimed its first victim... While Kano continues his foolhardy mission of staying on the terrorist' tail, THIRD-i command centre is in a panic. 14 people have possibly been infected, and an outbreak could occur in 90 minutes! The key lies in the encrypted Shikimura file, which Fujimaru is, unexpectedly, finding impossible to decode. Impossible...? For Fujimaru? Or could it have been a red herring all along? Where, then, is the real file? The battle of the hackers has begun, and a slipup on any side most certainly won't be pretty.

Not as graphic as the other volumes. However, you can really tell how dated this series is... Because they spent 4 pages explaining BlueTooth. My inner technology nerd cringed.

The action in this volume takes place over a short period of time. Though there is a lot going on in this time frame, some of the details and explanations get a bit tedious. This was a bit less enjoyable to read than the previous volumes, however the story development is essential in the coming volumes, I'm sure. I hope this is setting up some epic action in the next volume.

The search for the antivirus went on for long - from one computer to another, from one email address to another only to find out it was in the third I’s care all along. The doctor who made it surely did not want other people to find it that easily. I was bored.

The cover is totally.... cool! I expect no less from J the genius who alongside K lead the religious group who are considered to be terrorists from the Third-i. I expect no less from J the genius who alongside K lead the religious group who are considered to be terrorists from the Third-i. Now lets get to the point a sophomore student named Takagi Fujimaru is a genius hacker and when I say that he his. Oh, Takagi is considered to be great with computers, technologies, and etc. Caught up in a virus terrorist plot formally known as "Bloody Monday" hence the title of the book. So far "J" and his associates attempt to collect back the original chip of "Christmas Assassination", resulting an outbreak of the deadly virus "BLOODY-X" on the third basement level at "Third-i"!! Okay to start off this review I just have to point one thing out just to get this going and that is about "J"s lifeless eyes they give you the chills or intimidate you like making someone go to the corner and think about their life. Basically the book is about a battle of wits between Takagi and "J" who have to reclaim the chip before the other one gets their hands on it. This book had a batch of wits and action that motivated me to read it. I just had to see what the outcome would be the suspense of reading kept me on the edge of my seat. During, my time of reading this book it made me think about Death Note in how Light and "L" were competing against each other to be "justice" similar to Takagi and "J". At some point one of them is a step ahead while the other one catches up in a never ending cycle just kidding eventually it has to end by one of them dying... right? Also, after I read Bloody Monday volume 5 there was going to be another betrayal and I was like "Not another one I can't take this anymore!" (Jumps off a cliff). Just to let you know that never happened that was just my reaction. Guess who it was? It was none other then Munkata Hitomi an old friend of Takagis father. Did not that coming but I wasn't really surprised since there are so many betrayals in this manga series unlike any other book I've read. Bloody Monday does have its charms though with a great information of some computer terms for those who don't know what it means such as people like me. (Since technology hates me or because of my short term memory.) The hazard suit looks hilariously funny. Cain and Abel seem close to each other like sisters, Jacob the tall silent man as quiet and strong to destroy a laptop, Michael loyal to "J" but not as much as Hikami in Death Note. The terrorist seem to be a great cast of characters and will continue to impress me until further notice. I wist the best of luck to Takagi since he's going to need since I'm glad I'm not in his shoes. (Currently a sophomore as well) ;)
