***3 Stars*** One word to describe this book? H.O.T. This was fog-up-all-your-windows-and mirrors-steamy! We get not one, not two, but three sexy, Alpha uniformed men with tons of testosterone and very healthy sexual appetites. All attracted to each other with emotions flying high. Rights to be wronged. Histories to be shared. Add in the fact that they're stuck in a safe house in the boonies, with a raging blizzard and time to kill...hmmmm, what to do? what to do? It's okay to sing along. I know you want to. Unfortunately, the rest of the book was a bit of a mess...the plot was forced, disjointed and far-fetched with no real chemistry between the characters outside of sex. There were consistency errors, typos and incorrect character names.

So not realistic. So not sexy. Partly it felt like a competition who had the shi*iest childhood/youth and everybody was sharing and getting the healing from f***ing (including 4 O's in once scene for the Cop, if I counted that right...). What I missed most was any kind of believable or realistic character. They felt all like cliched alpha types with the "sensitivity" of bad M/f romance. This doesn't sound like real human beings talking. No real feelings, no real story. Therefore it was boring to me. As I only read the first half it is absolutely possible, that it improves later on. If you want a good m/m on the run story, I can recommend Zero at the Bone or for good m/m/m Dark Horse or good tough guys with military and trauma Special Forces - Soldiers

External forces push the three together, and things finally start moving. Going in to hiding together, they can't ignore their pasts anymore. They also can't ignore the sexual tension, which leads to some off-the-charts smexiness. I didn't mind that there was sex between the three so early on, and I liked that it was just that - sex. This wasn't a jump in to 'forever and ever'. While Law loves both Styx and Paulo, and the two love Law in return, Styx and Paulo only feel a physical attraction at first. That slowly changes as they begin to battle the threats from outside. Unlike book 1, the crime here is much more fleshed out, and more directly related to the MCs. There was enough background information to connect with what was going on, and the few action scenes were entertaining. Of course, this is an S.E. Jakes book, so most of the book is focused on the relationship, rather than on the mystery. But even so, there was an underlying sense of threat throughout the book, including the chapters that were just about building a relationship between the three MCs. Overall, I enjoyed book 2 in the Men of Honor series quite a lot. I'm sure that my prior enjoyment of the Law, Paulo and Styx in No Boundaries probably made me a tad biased. But even so, if you're looking for some hot alpha males with dark and complicated pasts, and an entertaining thriller aspect, you'll enjoy 'Bound by Law'!

Wow, this book was something else. I'm not usually one for menage, there's only been a couple of other books I've read where I've felt it works, but this one made me eat my general dislike. I liked the premise behind why they'd ended up on the run together but I'm not sure the ending to that worked, although I'm not naive enough to believe government secret ops don't do things like that when necessary. Still, overall I loved these three men, Law in particular, and felt their threesome absolutely was right for them all.

I love these three together as they are H-O-T! I was intrigued by them when I read No Boundaries and was excited to read about them and how they ended up together. More focused on the sex (believe me, I'm not complaining), than the plot (although it was definitely there), this was a great insight into how these three started their relationship. I would type more, but Adam was spot on with how I felt in his review below: Adam's Review I'm looking forward to the next one! I love these three together as they are H-O-T! Paulo deliberately puts himself in harm's way to get intel for them, and ends up in hospital...Law (LC) vows that it will not happen again to someone he loves, so he secretly makes plans with Tomcat, Styx's partner in the CIA, Damon & Tanner and eventually one of them pays off...in fact I was fist pumping at around 80%....sad isn't it!! Watching the guys get to know each other properly was an experience...yes ladies, we all know what it's like trying to get men to talk about their feelings - like getting blood out of a stone, and this book was no different, but this time you had two guys who were old lovers (LC & Styx) and there was some history there obviously, and one of those guys' new lover (Paulo) was also present...would this work as a ménage....that's for you to find out!!

I enjoyed this one more than the first book. The three alphas Styx, Law and Paulo have great chemistry and are all haunted by their pasts. Aided by Styx's partner Tom Cat the three men are trying to eliminate someone from Styx's past who will do just about anything to get to him. Of course the threesome is hot and we got the resolution to the story of Styx and Law that began in book one. So far though, the Hell or High Water series is still my favorite of S.E. Jakes.

First of all I need to say wow. This is such an intense, emotional, and fascinating read! While the men were sort of introduced in the first volume, that was really just scratching the surface. As I got to know them better in this second book, the full impact of their situations hit me right in the gut. While the men were sort of introduced in the first volume, that was really just scratching the surface. As I got to know them better in this second book, the full impact of their situations hit me right in the gut. All three are lost, have more secrets than should be allowed, and need healing and someone to love them so badly, it tore at my heartstrings. I think none of the three could have been fulfilled with one lover, they each need and deserve two. And this is one of those triads where all three members really fit; each man with his own strengths and weaknesses uniquely suited to support the other two. As much sense as this makes having read the book, it was definitely not a foregone conclusion. They each fight the "inevitable" for reasons of – whatever social norms or other ideas they have in their heads. But the undeniable truth is that they not only share a common enemy (Styx's father and their pasts), they also share the ability to defeat whatever he, or life in general, throws at them. They only slowly learn how this might work, and the build of the tension and understanding is magnificent. It pulled me in and didn’t let me go. Law and Styx have loved each other forever. Law went into Delta Forces and Styx vanished into the CIA, thinking he could protect Law from his father by pretending he didn’t love him. Ten years later Law is finally ready to move on with Paolo, a detective, when Styx returns because all his staying away hasn’t stopped his father from going after Law and Paolo just to get to Styx. What follows is a tense situation where each of the three ultra-stubborn men tries to protect the other two as they slowly realize they love each other. Too macho to give in, they struggle for quite a while, all the time threatened by assassins out to kill them. This story is as intense as the first, not for the faint-hearted, and contains a fascinating description of the development of a true triad, where each man needs both his partners equally and for different reasons. No combination of two of these men would work, and that is quite an achievement in my opinion. If you like thrillers, if you enjoy complicated relationships, specifically threesomes that turn into stable triads, and if you're looking for some very hot between-the-sheet action on top of all that, you will probably like this novel as much as I do. Tough men – tougher action is a good way to classify it.

*** 2.5 Stars *** The first book in this series had its own faults, but at least it was rooted in reality. This one only pretended to be and that fact annoyed the fuck out of me. In fact, this book lost me almost from the first page - when Law thought it was more important to receive a hand job from his long-lost lover than it was to check on the well-being of his current lover during a freakin' gunfight. The last half of the book got slightly better, but the plot was beyond contrived and it lacked an emotional depth and complexity that I NEED in menage books in order to connect with the characters and make their relationship fit into my worldview. I also felt as if many of the scenes were told from the wrong person's perspective and this exacerbated that sense of disconnect for me. Not a fan.

After the one man he trusted disappeared, it took Law Connor ten years to take a chance on another relationship. Trouble is, right about the time he's finally ready to let go of the past, the past stages a hostile takeover. Back when they were teens, Styx was the boy with no memory. He and Law had each other's backs until he was forced to leave to keep Law safe. Now a CIA agent, he's finally discovered who he is, and why he's a hunted man. Detective Paulo McMannus has almost succeeded in helping Law forget his lost love when Styx comes plowing back into their lives. No way is Paulo giving up his lover without a fight. Suddenly Law finds himself on the run with Styx, the man who can still bring him to his knees...and with Paulo, the man who brought him back to life. The worst part? He can't choose between them. And it's getting harder to remember why he should. My Thoughts: I was looking forward to this one ever since I finished book 1. Probably should have read it immediately, but I suppose I got to it soon enough and I loved it. The book starts off three or four months after the end of book 1. Damon and Tanner are happy and off for a vacation in Europe. LC is very much not happy. He hasn't seen Paulo since he got out of the hospital after that whole mess with JP and he's still missing Styx as well. When he can't take it anymore, he heads right over to Paulo's place to fuck him senseless. For his part, Paulo isn't initially happy to see LC after all of that and I can't blame him. The man has left him alone for three months and he's wanted to get over him, but when LC asks to be let in... Paulo can't say no and before he knows it, LC is all over him. Of course, our persistent Paulo uses LC's post-orgasmic bliss to get him to agree to a date. A date that doesn't end in any way that either of them see coming. Lucky for them, Styx was there or they'd both likely be dead. Of course, this brings up a whole lot of anger on LC's side and some not so happy feelings on Paulo's side. Especially when he finds out that they have to go into hiding because of assassination attempts that are meant to draw Styx out. Initially, there are pissing contests between Styx and Paulo over LC, but things turn to lust pretty quickly. Paulo, though, is fairly certain he'll be odd man out when he sees just how much in love Law and Styx are. What he doesn't realize, is that Law has fallen for him just as much. It's all in the way that Law pushes away those that can make him happy the most. Styx wants Law back badly, but I don't think that he would have tried to come between Law and Paulo. It doesn't help that Styx finds Paulo attractive. That's made even more clear when he watches Law and Paulo having sex. And Paulo watches Styx watching them and gets off even more. It seems that Styx and Paulo really aren't all that different. Especially when it comes to Law. They actually find themselves on the same side when faced with Law's anger. I liked the times when he and Paulo were alone together. Law for his part was certainly torn, but when he realized he couldn't give up either Paulo or Styx, he wanted to try being with the both of them. And things get really hot between the three. And they all grow closer, giving each other what they all need. It isn't always easy, but things were so much more than just sex between them. There were plenty of feelings involved and they all wanted to do whatever possible to keep each other safe. I loved that about them. And I loved the way the book ended. With all of them together.

You saved his life," Styx repeated quietly, cupped Paulo's chin in his palm and forced him to meet his gaze. "You saved mine." Paulo felt his cheeks flush. Hell, his whole body was on fire. The man with no childhood and teenage memories before the age of sixteen had been clinging to the memories of Law all these years, and Paulo could understand that. "I haven't known him long...but I understand why you love him," Paulo said. "I understand why he loves you." "He doesn't, Styx. I've been competing with you from the start." "It's not about competition," Styx said. "The heart doesn't compete in bullshit-it just tells like it is and we have to be ready to listen." Styx was insistent and Paulo didn't want to say no. He'd seen the way Styx manhandled Law and he wanted that. And, as if in response, Styx pulled back a little, his hand circling Paulo's cock, and Paulo bucked into his palm. "Good boy," Styx crooned, and Paulo didn't care what the man called him as long as he could come and release some of this tension. "Just remember, you call me old man again, and I will put you over my knee." Paulo wanted to concede to everything, but he couldn't, "I'm not doing anything with you...because of Law." "What if it's something Law wants?" At the sound of Law's voice asking the question, Paulo started, looked between the two men. "How the hell is that supposed to work?" "I don't know," Law admitted. "But I refuse to lose either of you." Re-read for the 7th time and still can't get enough of them.

Ok I always believed the old saying “two’s company and three’s a crowd” when it came to love, that is until i was introduced to menage in books (thanks Tina). This book continues with Styx’s story of his very evil father and Styx’s lack of memory of his childhood before the age of 16. All 3 men are committed to ridding themselves of this threat and bringing the evil man down! All three men have terrible, abusive pasts and together they form a future of love and healing for all of them. And what I also enjoyed about this is it didn’t overdose on the sweetness. These are hard edged men and too much sweetness would never had worked. I would say the sex is hot hot hot, but that feels like a “duh” kinda statement.....OMG I think I may have forgotten to close my mouth as I was reading one scene (ok maybe two) *fanning self* Onto the next books in this series! YAY!!

This book was unfortunately a hot mess. I re-read parts of Bound by Honor, because honestly, It didn't even feel like the same person had written them both. It felt like this was a rushed follow-up by an author who was afraid to let her characters experience any real emotional danger. I still like Bound by Honor--it doesn't seem to have the problems this one did. There was no interesting conflict. The potential was there, but everyone fell in love so easily & no one was particularly jealous. The This book was unfortunately a hot mess. There was one action sequence that was just ludicrously impossible. Things about Law's past kept on being revealed twice, or even three times. There was one big confession scene maybe about halfway through--but all the details of the revelation had already been revealed! I am good at suspending my disbelief but easily bored by unnecessary repetition. It gets two stars because I finished it.

Well, that was quite anticlimactic - at least plotwise. After spending almost 250 pages with a trio of highly-trained alpha males that ooze masculinity, and practically being drowned in a sea of testosterone, I was expecting some differnt kind of ending. Something along the lines of a Bruce Willis or Jason Statham movie, with lots of gunfire, explosions and sweat. That would've been a worthy finish! But the actual ending? Not so much. I can't deny the hotness of this book, though. It was like Cut Well, that was quite anticlimactic - at least plotwise. If you're into menage, MM romance and ripped hunks with an OTT libido, go for it!

Law? well, honestly I don't know how I feel about Law? Did this book achieve that power mix of love....maybe...I just need a wee bit more of these guys to know for sure ;-)

YES YES YES!! Loved everything about this book! Styx, Law and Paulo are perfect for each other, in so many ways, I loved their chemistry. Paulo is the cutest thing ever tbh and I really liked it when Law and Styx teamed up against him, in the most awesome way there is of course... The story moved quickly and for me, didn't had a dull moment at all. I'm off to read the rest of the series! Who has time for a review when Tomcat is calling me!! YES YES YES!! It's a menage!!!! And I'm a sucker for menages. And for Law! He's such a great guy. Loved him in the first book. Three emotionelly broken alpha males believe they can never love or be loved again. Till they meet their counterpart who makes them face their fears of vulnerability. Styx, Law and Paulo are perfect for each other. They have such a great chemistry. I loved the story and the strong characters and I really liked the secondary character Tomcat and hope to read his story soon.

DNF'ed at 28% Sorry, I DNF'ed this puppy. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to LC's story but this M/M/M was beyond reason for me. First off, if you're being shot at in a restaurant and your date is getting his rocks off with his ex in a back room ... Your. Date. Is. A. Loser. Period. I don't care how hot the ex is or how steamy their former love affair, he's a prick of the highest order who seriously has some f*cked up priorities. Well, unfortunately, LC wasn't half the man that he was in book one. Nope. The asshole in this book was too busy hopping back and forth (literally) between Styx's hotel room and Paulo's adjoining one, sexing it up with both while his inner voice was all angsty over being unable to choose between these two honorable men. Blech!!! Bottom line: Not my cuppa.

This is the 2nd book in the Men of Honor series and think this is even hotter than the first book. Even though I'm not into D/s, BDSM, or spanking, something about the three men in this book make it seem really hot and sexy! Holy...what the...wow...zot...awesome! This book practically melted my kindle. The passion, lust & desire this trio felt was HOT. I loved the way this sequel tied up the loose ends from the first book but wasn't an excuse to squeeze more money from the reader. It was a complete & worthwhile read in & of itself. I read some reviews that have criticised this series as being not true gay romance as they have been written for women...so? It beats reading bodice-ripping Mills & Boon any freaking day. This kind of book creates a world where I can happily submerge myself without a qualm. It titillates. It entertains. It distracts me from the 9 children destroying my house. It was just what I needed.

Let's start with the cover, super hot! I couldn't wait for Laws HEA after reading book one. He is just a sweet heart! And truly binds the ones he loves together. There is some serious hot MM and super serious MMM action, with a story to to bring them all together. Drama, action and a HEA, it has it all!

Even with all the sex, I really liked this. I liked LC (Law) a lot in the first book but loved him in this one. I also really liked Styx and Paulo too. Together they were really hot...three hot, super masculine hotties.

Bound by Law picks up with LC’s story from Bound by Honor. LC or Law Connor has been pining for his teenaged first love for the last 10 years. He did a lot during that time while trying to mostly forget his horrifically abusive childhood. He joined the army – Delta Force, with his friend Damon – another lost boy who had found his way to their benefactor’s home for troubled gay boys. Then LC joined Damon in opening a BDSM club – which was always more Damon’s thing than Law’s. But Law never forgot Bound by Law picks up with LC’s story from Bound by Honor. Then LC joined Damon in opening a BDSM club – which was always more Damon’s thing than Law’s. But Law never forgot Styx – the boy with no memory, who disappeared into the CIA. At the end of Bound by Honor, Law starts to move on. For the first time in 10 years he is having feelings for someone besides Styx. Despite trying to push the detective Paulo away he finds himself inexorably drawn to him. Of course, this is the time for Styx to reappear. Not that he’s wanted to stay away. Styx has been just as impossibly in love with Law as Law has been with him, and he’s only delved into the murky world of the CIA and kept his distance to keep Law safe from his past. Until he can’t anymore because his past is back and barreling into the present. And now it has Paulo in its sights as well as Law. I wasn’t sure how well I was going to like this threesome story. I was already connecting with Styx in Bound by Honor and was seeing Paulo as an interloper. Much to my surprise, it wasn’t like that at all and I came to love Paulo as much as Law and Styx do. I’m not a fan of relationship angst; and jealousy especially I dislike. It was pleasantly absent here. I think Paulo won me over because he was so genuinely willing to step aside and respected the history between Styx and Law. Paulo and Styx end up bonding as much as Paulo and Law and it’s easy to see how these three guys are meant to be together and will make this relationship work. It’s not all hot, sexy times though (although there’s plenty of that). The past must be dealt with so our guys can get their HEA and in order to do so, Damon and Tanner from Bound by Honor make a brief cameo. Bound by Law also introduces Styx’s CIA partner, the bisexual Clint aka Tomcat - who'll be getting his own story at some point in the Men of Honor series. Despite the references to past trauma and the current threats to their lives and limbs, I still found this to be a low angst, low stress, feel good read. I like all the characters and I enjoyed the relationship development between our 3 guys.

It has finally happened. I have read a M/M book with too much sex! Well, let me explain. There are these three big, tough, strong guys. One a CIA operative, one a cop and one an ex-special forces. They have a certain way of communicating, and it is spelled „A l.o.t o.f h.o.t .s.e.x“. It’s really pretty simple, you talk for half a page, then you have sex for the next two. Lather, rinse, repeat. When is too much sex actually too much? It’s really pretty simple, you talk for half a page, then you have sex for the next two. Lather, rinse, repeat. When is too much sex actually too much? I had to ask myself that question over and over, to make sure I didn’t get it wrong. But no, I’m pretty sure this book is the answer. Next question was „Is too much set a bad thing?" Well, here my answer is a resounding „no“. Especially not if it includes double penetration every now and then. However, since I actually enjoyed the pieces of plot that kept trying to come up for air, I could have lived with a bit less horniness, but no point in crying over spilled sperm milk. Although the sex was a fun read (only skimmed occasionally), there were parts connected to the fornication that made me go like this: These bad boys are really a bunch of pussies. I like my tough, fictional alphas to come with a dose of, well, Alpha behavior. I want them to protect what is theirs. Considering how Law’s and Styx’s relationship was built up in the first book, I first found it a bit unbelievable with the whole threesome thing. Or no, I was actually disappointed. It seemed like such an epic love story about to continue, and I was looking forward to see how they would find they way back together. And then all of a sudden there is a third guy in the mix. A guy that hasn’t really known Law for long ( and did not really date seriously), but still for some reason is another soul mate of Law, since they are all so damaged. The emotions, the acceptance, the sharing, the lack of jealousy and the lack of my favorite alpha word „Mine“ (said with a growl, of course) had me almost rating this 2 stars. But, it was all about changing the mind set. As soon as I accepted that this story is not what I wanted (with a jealous Styx beating the shit out of Paolo, and Paolo getting his own story) it got more enjoyable. Especially the threesomes. Which there were a lot.

This story focuses on the other two members of a foster situation – Law and Styx. They were introduced in the first book and I was curious if they’d ever find their way back together. Now I’m not really giving anything away here, as you can see from the cover artwork, but this is a menage story – and no one was more surprised about that, than me (I tend not to look at covers, the whole saying and such). Anyway, Law and Styx do find themselves back in the same room together, except Law has his new boyfriend with him – Paulo. Let’s just saw that amid gunfire and a manhunt or two, sparks fly. I’d like to be very clear here – this book was nothing like the first one, which makes it even better in my opinion! This relationship was one of trust, struggle, acceptance, and forgiveness, but without any D/s interaction. Power and control was constantly changing hands, but the great thing was, each character was so well-developed, that you never lost sight of who was saying or doing what. The sex was super hot and intense – ten years apart will do that, but more than that, it was passionate and their connection was evident throughout. It was HOT-HOT-HOT, somewhat “tame” in experiences/positions/locations (if you’re able to overlook the uniqueness of a threesome), but not at all boring. There was a constant give and take, which created a sense of vulnerability in each character at various times. And who doesn’t love hot, sexy, fighting, strong men showing a little vulnerability during crazy hot sex?! Out of four… Overall Read: ♥♥♥♥ Sex Heat: ♥♥♥♥ Plot: ♥♥♥ Not quite another perfect score, but definitely close. I would recommend this to everyone – it’s a stand alone book, or a great extension if you read the first one. It is super sexy, hot, great sex, but even better characters. I just hope that Jakes has another one in the works, apparently I’m a huge fan!
