In this third episode of ‘French Kissing’, there are three relationships in varying degrees of tenseness. To truly understand this episode, one has to have the read the previous two. To truly understand this episode, one has to have the read the previous two. There is simply too much foundation and in-depth data that is needed to follow, grasp, and enjoy the current situations and where they are heading. Plus as one relationship is additionally undermined by a very scheming new personal assistant and another is on the brink of total annihilation as an old girl friend comes back on the scene, that technically means there are five pairs vying for attention. Oh, it is unquestionably going to be a VERY BUMPY ride! Claire and Margot are now on a soaring vertical trip fueled by heart-pounding, explosive orgasmic highs. However, two tumultuous cataclysmic events happening to very close friends has put a temporary damper on their trip to the moon. The operative word is temporary. Margot's ex, who in essence stomped all over Margot's heart, is returning to Paris and will be working at the same hospital that employs Margot. That certainly smells like there is something rotten in Denmark to me and although Margot has verbally claimed she never looks back, I might be really nervous if I were Claire. On top of this, Nadia has unloaded a potentially relationship-ending bit of news. Claire needs to check in on Juliette while Margot holds Nadia's hand. Oh my dear! Juliette and Nadia have already had a rough year, but that is nothing compared to the deep dark hole they both find themselves in now. All the recent and somewhat glorious mending of fences in previous weeks has been blown sky high. Juliette feels shat upon and ripped to shreds. It takes Claire with her intimate understanding of her business partner to shed some light for Juliette's edification, that she is not simply an innocent victim. However, Juliette is a very determined queen of her castle including both her home and her business and she is going to have to bend more than a bit to see the big picture and her part in the possible demise of her long standing love relationship. Hopefully, this is only the darkest of darks before the dawn. Will the gods be kind? Deftly intertwined between the super heated Claire and Margot affair and the crumbling train wreck of Nadia and Juliette are the continuously entertaining and devilishly delightful escapades of Steph and Dominique who each walk on tightropes while orchestrating their super heated romantic subterfuge under the covers of darkness and the public eye. This central episode held back no punches and culminated with one of the most painful confrontations exposing a classic snake in the grass and crushing a holier than though pedestal. Well, the gods were definitely not kind! Even with things being beclouded, I definitely recommend this story with all is potent twists and turns. Fascinating! This has been the most difficult episode for me to read so far. And not for things like bad story or grammar, but just the opposite; I was so interested in what was going on and at the same time so fearful for the individuals in this story that I almost didn’t want to keep reading. I just kept half closing my eyes and silently screaming at the characters “don’t do it!” or “Please just use your brain for a second!” The problem is that I’ve become emotionally invested in these characters lives and This has been the most difficult episode for me to read so far. And not for things like bad story or grammar, but just the opposite; I was so interested in what was going on and at the same time so fearful for the individuals in this story that I almost didn’t want to keep reading. I just kept half closing my eyes and silently screaming at the characters “don’t do it!” or “Please just use your brain for a second!” The problem is that I’ve become emotionally invested in these characters lives and now I’m hurting for them, rooting for them, angry at them, and attracted to them all at the same time. Leave it to Harper to make you feel like you’re actually LIVING the lesbian drama right there with the ladies in France. I will admit, when I finished the end of this episode, it was the first time I actually felt like screaming out loud at the top of my lungs because I just want to know what happens next Goddammit! I haven’t felt that crazy about characters and a story since Red Phoenix was doing her Submissive Training Center series. So here’s what’s eating at me while I ANXIOUSLY await Episode 4: *Sybille has got some serious issues and I’m super intrigued to find out what is really going on with her. *Juliette and Nadia are freaking driving me crazy!! And again I hate Sybille; selfish, manipulative, lying Bitch! *Margot is a champ; I really want to see her and Claire be the “It” couple for this story. I also really want to know what Margot is thinking about the crazy lesbian drama given that she’s so cool and collected. LOVE HER!!! *Steph is making me uber sad. I hope she gets what she needs in this story. There are only 3 more episodes left of this season and so I’m very excited and nervous to see how this first season ends. I’m so addicted to this story right now I might need to find a meeting… **Thank you Harper for the ARC!

In this next installment of French Kissing Margot and Claire's relationship heats up, Nadia and Juliette are still at odds, Steph tries to distance herself from Dominique, and Sybille has something up her sleeve. As a new relationship blossoms another is tumbling uncontrollably downhill and the contrast of the two relationships leaves the reader on quite an emotional roller coaster! After the cliffhanger in episode two we finally read the aftermath between Nadia and Juliette. I became very frustrated with the characters in this book as they seemed to gang up on Juliette and blame her for Nadia's poor choice. Ummm hello? not okay...Needless to say I warmed back up to Nadia at the end of the book when she was determined to fight for Juliette- but did she get one hell of a surprise instead! Steph faces inner turmoil as she tries to push her feelings for Dominique away by whatever means possible- and of course this doesn't work! The future doesn't look so hot for her given she's a dirty little secret and the exact opposite of what Dominique's political persona stands for. Despite the odds I am still rooting for Steph- to get her happily ever after and kick some Sybille butt! Episode three also introduces the never-ending, predictable lesbian dilemma: the ex that just won't go away. Doctor Inez LaRue, Margot's ex, is now in the picture and will be working alongside Margot. I have a feeling Doctor LaRue is about to stir up some trouble as Claire and Margot make their relationship official- will it last? Only the upcoming episodes will tell!

The more of this series I read, the more invested I got in all the characters. I like how there's high drama throughout, but it never feels repetitive.

I am completely hooked on this series. I love most of the characters and those that I don't love are still very important to the story. Speaking of characters that I don't love... WTF Juliette? She gets me so dam angry! How could Nadia put up with her for so dam long? And Juliette's assistant... I wouldn't trust her as far as I could throw her.

Another great episode in the French Kissing series. Heartbreak, angst, hot sex, intrigue and deception, all set against the backdrop of Paris. Loving this series (and yes, Steph is still my favorite, followed by *ta-da* Sybille!) Looking forward to Episode 4.

I don't like Sybille and I expect I won't like Inez either and my blood was boiling on the end of book. All I know is I keep looking forward to the next one just to see what happens next.
