This book is like the after sundown hours at an old time fly-in or a museum after dark. It is wrapped up in timeless history found in old airplanes and the stories that are totally true but get taller with each retelling. It's got the magic. One of the most pilot feeling books I've encountered.

Thank you to Rare for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. "Weather to Fly" is a book that contains 14 stories; 13 involving something that has to do with plane and 1 that has to do with a baby bird taking his first step out of the nest. The stories do all vary and each have their own tone, however, it does become repetitive in the way that their "awe" moment is seeing the plane. This book is definitely for people that are interested...or maybe even obsessed with planes. Myself not being one of those, actually got annoyed with it. One thing text wise that bothered me was when the characters were speaking, their words were italicized instead of being put in between quotation marks. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a good story book for children. It contains explicit language and some violence. It also contains homosexual relationships if that's offensive to you. Overall, the book was just OK to me. I expect it will be excellent to plane enthusiasts.
