DNF 54% I just couldn't take to Sadie and Jude. more so Sadie .... SPOILER I got to 54% where she was going to get naked and have sex with a guy just to get over jude. call me a prude but she didn't like the guy she was going to sleep with. I prefer my heroines a little less tacky and more clean. so this book just didn't work for me.

She was young, immature and a slut. Jude saved himself for someone worth giving his virginity and she was NOT worth the wait in my opinion. I found it very difficult to like her character. She made very stupid decisions before her relationship with Jude, during and after. It goes back to her being immature. I never felt the connection between the two of them anytime during the book. It moved way to fast, Sadie has had a crush on Jude for years but he never noticed her until her make over. Then he could keep his cock in his pants to actually get to know her on a more intellectual level. There entire relationship was based on sex. I did like Linc in this book so I am hoping, fingers crossed Lane Hart knocks his book out of the park. I will read Linc.

Eventually he agrees, on the night of the prom he arrives at the house to pick up Sadie and is blown away by how she looks, a complete transformation from how she dresses when she's at her fathers gym. It's not long before they're getting hot and heavy. But what happens when Sadie finds out that he did a deal with her father to get a shot at the championship in exchange for going with her to prom. This wasn't a patch on the first book "Jax" the plot was no way as good. I really liked Jude even though he made mistakes, but Sadie I didn't like her one bit. She was a totally different character to how she was in the first book, she went from a frizzy haired bespectacled geek to slut, I thought most of her actions crossed the line IMO and she's not the sort of heroine I like to read about.

OMG! When I read JAX I thought it was good but this addition to the series is over the top! Not only did we get to know Jude so much better we also got to know more about Jude's brother Jax and the things that happened in their past. She did an amazing job not only adding Jude, the Brigg's and their story but also building more on Jax and Page's life along with their baby boy, Xavier. She has taken the two books, and has sown them together with such precision that the story is virtually seamless. The flow of the story has the fluidity of a calmly flowing stream. I really must add that not only does Ms. Hart do a great job portraying the love between family, she shows us the inside of the MMA world. People think that it's about 2 opponents that get into an octagon and beat each other too a pulp. It's about 2 athlete's, professionals that get into an octagon and fight, but these athlete's have the utmost respect not only for each other, but for the sport also. Yes, they are opponents but they are also a part of something so much bigger! The MMA world in itself is like a huge family. The true "members" of this sport, spend hours, months, years even, training and working to perfect their technique and skills. They know how hard each works to achieve this which results in that respect they have for each other. And Ms. Hart does an amazing job showing that in the telling of the story of these 2 brothers. I am so looking forward to seeing where she is going to take us with Linc's story. Just imagine the drive, the love, the passion these guys have for life and for this sport, now imagine that same passion in the bedroom! Oh yes! Smoking hot! Bring on Linc's story Ms. Hart!

Where to start with this book? I honestly didn't think the author could beat Jax but with Jude she really has outdone herself. Jude is just perfect. Yes he's young but oh sweet lord is he hot. Sadie, the coach's daughter, has had a crush on Jude for forever. Having been screwed over by her ex, she's desperately hoping that Jude will finally notice her. The sexual chemistry between Jude and Sadie is scorching hot, but the connection between them is really sweet at the same time. This book really does have it all. It's a really sweet, hot romance with some cracking one liners (Oh hell, smack my arse and call me a naughty boy because I'm dying to fall to my knees and beg for a f*cking taste). It was just one of those books for me that I absolutely loved. The characters are more than just characters in a book. The way it's written it feels like they're real people (yes I'm aware I need to get a life). It draws you in with the likeable characters and leaves you wishing it didn't have to end. Now the wait begins for Linc's book....it's gonna be so good if Jax and Jude are anything to go by.

I absolutely loved Jude in Jax's story and couldn't wait to read Jude's own story. Jude is the younger brother of the almighty MMA titleholder Jax and they are two complete opposites. Where Jax was hot-headed Jax is complete calm, still, a virgin saving himself for that special lady and he's a fun guy, he made me laugh in the previous book with his cocky charm. Where Jax was hot-headed Jax is complete calm, still, a virgin saving himself for that special lady and he's a fun guy, he made me laugh in the previous book with his cocky charm. Jude is also a fighter and looks up to his big brother and fights in a lower weight. When his coach approaches him with the fight that could make his career it comes with a bargaining chip which is the coaches daughter Sadie. Coach Briggs trusts Jude and wants Jude to take his daughter the her senior year prom in return he will arrange the fight. Sadie is the geeky daughter of Coach Briggs, brought up by a single dad and has spent all her life in the gym surrounded by the guys who treat her like a younger sister. Sadie came across as innocent in the first book and she had always admired Jude from afar, however, Sadie didn't quite turn out to be the character I anticipated and Sadie wasn't as sweet as she seemed. A makeover boosts Sadie's confidence, guys all of a sudden start to notice her including Jude when he takes her to prom he becomes possessive and protective of her. For the first time ever Jude feels he has found someone he actually wants to give his virginity too. A secret relationship develops between the two as they try and keep it away from the gym and Coach Briggs. A SORRY SPOILER Halfway through this book though I was like "What NOOOOOOO" what are you doing you stupid girl and after that, I just could not warm to Sadie. There's making your partner jealous to get what you want but actually doing it? no, just no, I could not get my head away from what she had done to sweet Jude after that. Despite the huge dilemma, I faced while reading, I did enjoy this book. Jude is adorable and the build-up to his fight, the introduction of other characters and the flow of the book I loved and I would definitely read more books from this author. I have to say, after really enjoying the first book in this series, I was very eager to read this story. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint! I just spent at least an hour watching YouTube vids of The Beatles. Hey Jude has been one of my favorite songs since I was like two and you can't end a book like that and not expect me to start singing it. We first met Jude in book 1 of the Cocky Cage Fighter series, JAX. I couldn't help but adore him when I read about him. He was such a fun guy. In JUDE we learn more about him and though he's still a fun guy his immaturity is readily apparent. Which was good in a way. I mean, he's only 21 and Hart did a bang up job portraying the different characteristics of a male that age in his profession. He felt really authentic, ya know? About the narrator... So I have mixed feelings about the narrator. I was originally thinking that I would generously give him a 3.5 but with the way he did the last few lines of the book I had to bump his rating to a 4. He clearly put a lot of effort into his performance but it didn't quite hit the mark for me. His acting was enthusiastic yet off and IMO his pacing wasn't very good. I love it when the narrator uses different voices for the characters and he performed the book that way. I think he did a great job of portraying a somewhat shy teenage girl. Favorite Quotes This is between Sadie and her bestie. So yeah they're teenagers but I can't disagree with their strategy for keeping sex and emotion separate. And it was a smile worthy comment to boot. "If you're just fucking then he shouldn't get to sleep with you. That's what people in relationships do." "I've told him he can't kiss me." "Good for you, Julia Roberts. Draw the lines in the sand and then sit back and watch him lose his sh*t until he crosses them." This is between Jude and Jax. Love how Hart used lyrics from the song to verge into a tender moment. "I've lost the will to live," I joke but can't make myself smile even if my life depended on it. "Oh stop being so goddamn dramatic, you pussy. It's time to man. The fuck. Up. Hey Jude, don’t let me down. You have found her, now go and get her."

At some parts of the book I hated her so much that I wanted to stop reading but I am reply happy that I didn't. So despite the love story being sweet, I found myself sighing and wanting to smack them far to often for it to be enjoyable to me. There was also so many things that would never happen. Ie, the police and phones. I’d like to see what happens to the other characters because they are lovable, but based on the first two I feel my frustration will outweigh my curiosity. So that’s it for now. 1.5 Just barely ok for me stars

I really enjoyed reading this book. There was a freaking lot of sexy time in it, which I enjoyed that too. The underlying premise of a virgin male character being interested in his coach's teenager daughter was refreshing. I would have rated this a bit higher but I did not like how much "slut" and "sex" was thrown around by both Sadie and Judge. It might have been in context but also make it seem like it was just meaningless, which again is not bad at all, but it seemed to stand out a bit. Still I really enjoyed reading this book. Shelving this book without a rating. Stopped at 40%. Characters were just too young for me. She's barely 18, he's 22.

This book, or should I say the stupid ass heroine, pissed me off big time! She was a down right bitch and did not deserve the H. I definitely could've loved this book if the h had acted in a different manner, but I have to say she takes the cake for my most hated h's. The first time she did what she did during their break up, I was willing to forgive her although it also pissed me off.but when she finds out about what her dad and the H did, the way she acted was ridiculous. I can understand she was mad but to go and do what she did with Jude's opponent?!?!? That's just being a straight up bitch. Why would she go to Linc's hotel room, a man she doesn't know from adam, and tell Jude she slept with him? And then she doesn't even let Jude explain and LEAVES THE STATE to go live with Linc, a man SHES LITERALLY KNOWN FOR A DAY! And the best part is, even though Linc has a huge house with multiple bedroom, she sleeps in the same bed with him!! But it totally ok because there isn't anything sexual about it....not! Did Sadie think it meant nothing that Jude gave his virginity to her after waiting for 22 years? Did she really think he would've done that just because her dad asked him to take her to prom? The icing on the cake that made me really dnf was the fact that even after Jude shows up and is staying at Linc's house, she was still going to sleep in Linc's bed! Like, why?? We also come to find out that Sadie and Linc kissed, BUT IT OK BECAUSE IT WAS LIKE KISSING A SIBLING!!!! I'm sorry, I don't like to slut shame, but Sadie was a slut. I hate hate hated her. I just do not understand. I have never dnf'd a book this far in but I guess that will tell you how much I hated that heroine. I know this is really long so, rant over. I'm getting mad just thinking about it all over again lol

I didn't think the series could get better that Jax, book one of Cocky Cage Fighter. I was so wrong. Jude may be the baby brother, but the book is not just an equal but better. I usually don't read books with high school characters, it is like spying on the grandkids. Jude was worth breaking the rule. At 22, he is still so young in experience. He is so clueless in relationships. He only knows how to eat, train, sleep and repeat. That is until he is conned into taking Sadie, coach's daughter, to the prom. The dork, becomes a queen and Jude is lost in her. This is the story of Jude's conflict--does he tell her about the deal with the coach? Does he think she won't find out?? Does he wait for the right time, that never may come???? Does he break it off before it is too late? In the end what mattered is how Sadie found out and what occurred afterwards. I can't believe I cried during an MMA fighter book. Alpha male--yes, awesome bodies--yes. Romance--yes When all are put together they have the making of a good story. It was Jude's devastation that ripped at my heart. It was Jude's inter-turmoil that kept me reading when chores needed to be done. In the pages of a good book I watched Jude mature and become a good man. I watched love actually save the day. Sometimes the greatest reward isn't a championship belt, but the girl's forgiveness.

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS - What I loved about brother Jude from the first book was that he was very funny, light hearted, a sweet virgin who dove head-first into his MMA career & didn't have time for anything else. He is asked by his coach to take his high school age daughter Sadie to her senior prom in exchange for a big title fight. So we know right off the bat these two are going to hit it off & this big secret will break her fragile heart. He became a horndog, well, can't blame him for trying to make up for lost time. Sadie was at times very mature for her age & then at other times totally her age, very immature & trying to make Jude jealous by going way too far with other guys. And Jude became possessive and alpha and lost some of the sweetness I liked about him.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. Although I am not a fan of MMA fighting, this series of books by Lane Hart occur primarily while training for the big fight rather than the fight itself. Therefore, if you too are not a fan of MMA, don't let that stop you from reading these books. They are more about the tough alpha men finding love after making stupid mistakes. It is still a good book and Jude makes it well worth reading. Characters from "Jax" appear in this book as they are brothers, but it is a standalone.

I think that Jude in my new book-boyfriend! I fell in love with him during his time in Jax and he did not disappoint me!!! Jude and Sadie are just about one of the cutest couples ever! The fact that her meddling dad got them together cracks me up. Do they really think they can have chemistry that hot and people who spend so much time with them will NOT know what they have going on? While I understand why Sadie got mad, I think she made some seriously BAD decisions. At one point I was really begi I think that Jude in my new book-boyfriend! At one point I was really beginning to despise Linc and didnt know how I was going to read his story, but he redeemed himself. I love how even though the story is about Sadie and Jude, you still find out a lot about the characters in future books, ans still hear what previous characters are up to.
