Dark Clues Club: Case of Lights, Camera, Dead. Emily Westacott stood on the beach below McGinty mansion, completely alone. Her book club friends were nowhere to be seen. Jenna had signed the note that made the change of meeting location, Emily had seen it herself...so why wasn't she here? She felt foolish, considering everything that had happened. There was already one per Dark Clues Club: Case of Lights, Camera, Dead. Emily Westacott stood on the beach below McGinty mansion, completely alone. Her book club friends were nowhere to be seen. Jenna had signed the note that made the change of meeting location, Emily had seen it herself...so why wasn't she here? She felt foolish, considering everything that had happened. There was already one person dead...and here she was, sneaking out of her house and meeting her friends at the scene of the crime. It was dangerous. It was stupid. It was...everything Emily knew she shouldn't have done. The water was lapping at her feet and, though the moon was high in the sky, it provided very little light. Maybe the note she had received wasn't real...after all, it seemed everything else had been faked. And then the figure began to run toward her from the dunes. There was something shiny in his hand, glinting in the fading moonlight. She knew then, as she always should have known. She never should have come here.
