    * I received this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway* I initially thought this was going to just be a poetry collection, but it was so much more than that. Each chapter gave advice on fighting and taking control of one's insecurities. Jacqui shared personal stories of her own challenges with this and it was refreshing because it didn't feel preachy like other self-help books I've dabbled in. At the end of each chapter, there were poems that related to the advice as well as her personal demons. * I received this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway* I initially thought this was going to just be a poetry collection, but it was so much more than that. At the end of each chapter, there were poems that related to the advice as well as her personal demons. Some of the poems were specific to her and others were very universal. Either way, they were breathtakingly beautiful and gave much insight into her life and the advice she was giving. The poetry was just stunning. I had to inhale it all in one sitting. Towards the end Jacqui writes that she includes poetry that will be included in a future book about the darker parts of the human condition - and I loved these. They were so raw and real yet easy to digest. Definitely a cool read!

This book is more than just your average collection of poems. This book used amazing imagery and clear verbiage to convey a message to readers about finding yourself and tackling those inner monsters that we all fight within ourselves. It's amazing how well I related to many of the stories and poems. I especially love how you feel connected with the author through her personal experiences that she shares in the books. I've honestly read it 3 times, and have now passed the book on to friends with This book is more than just your average collection of poems. This was a different poetry style than any I've read. It did get you thinking about things and that is good
