Like I can hardly muster the words to describe my ADORATION for this book. HIS BABYGIRL, book 4 in Jane Henry and Maisy Archer’s wildly addictive Boston Doms series, is by far the most SMOLDERING HOT book in the series and this is hands down the most scintillating—and enjoyable--Daddy Dom book I have ever read. While I realize this particular BDSM kink is not for everyone, this tantalizing tale gave me delicious tingles and squishy heart feels throughout! So…in case I haven’t been clear enough, this book hits my sweet spot in Every. Single. Way!! It is hot and sexy with plenty of torrid interludes, deliciously wanton spankings, titillating BDSM power exchanges, and warm snuggly romance. Plus I enjoyed the drug cartel suspense thread, which has been a concurrent subplot throughout the past few books, because it added a level of dramatic urgency and excitement to the tale, tied in the secondary characters into the plot, and was interwoven beautifully with the trust issues (or lack thereof) between Alice and Slay. But let’s get real here. The main draw of this series are the potently sexy Boston DOMS…and after devouring this current installment and basking in all the "Slay splendor" I am left with an EPIC. BFF. HANGOVER!!!! God I love that man to pieces! Everything about Alexander “Slay” Slater is FIERCE. Fiercely dominant. Fiercely protective. Fiercely loving. “He was six feet, five inches of hard, tattooed muscle, and everything from his shaved head to his piercings to his heavy motorcycle boots screamed badass.” Believe me when I say that Slay will make you swoon like you’ve never swooned before. Sighhh…he is PURE ALPHA MALE PERFECTION and gives new meaning to the word PANTY MELTING HOT! I mean this guy is off the charts sexy and delightfully broody...and man does he know how to please his woman. I mean multiple orgasms, ladies. Like seven in one session!!! This former Marine and Dungeon Master-turned-tattoo artist/secret operative is unapologetically dominant and has an inherent need to lead and command. It is in his blood. And being a large, strong man, all his life he has been searching for the perfect babygirl to fulfill his innate craving to nurture and love, possess and protect. Now he’s finally found her. He’s been watching Alice Cavanaugh for months, biding his time to make sure they will be compatible and he finally makes his move after he catches the feisty single mom/club waitress “in the act” of taking a smoke break. So what does this strong, tough-as-nails ex-soldier do when his “Allie-girl” sasses him and tells him TO HIS FACE to f-off when he lectures her on safe and appropriate behavior? Haul her upstairs for an intense OTK spanking she won’t soon forget and then claim the naughty blonde as his own! But as much as her blatant disrespect incited his ire, he couldn’t help but be insanely aroused by her sass! “Alice Cavanaugh was fearless and brave. In the years he'd spent at The Club, he'd never met a submissive who would stand up to him, look him in the eye the way she did, and tell a man twice her size with the potential to spank the hell out of her to get his sh*t together and make him earn her trust.” But he comes to realize something vitally important. “She needed so much more than discipline and structure, hot sex against the wall and a man to call Daddy.” She needed someone she could count on. And he was determined to prove he was the right man for the job. Since she’d started working at The Club as a bartender last spring, Alice has been nursing a massive crush on Slay, but thought he wanted nothing to do with her after he spurned her TLC after he was hurt in the line of duty. So when he makes his intentions BLATANTLY known, her heart throbs with joy and her body thrums with pleasure at his rough yet tender touch. But submitting to a hardcore dominant is easier said than done. How will a man like Slay fit into her everyday life beyond the playroom? Plus he is hiding some dangerous secrets that he is being infuriatingly tightlipped about. As with all the books in this Boston Dom series, trust between the Dom and his beloved sub is a big component and once again the authors KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK! I always need more than hot sex to satisfy and what I love best about this novel was the searing emotional intimacy, fiery sparks and breathtaking tenderness between this couple. Slay is a very stern dominant, and holy moly does he spank HARD, and even I dare say came across a tad too rigid and bossy at times with his incessant rules. But how can I hold that against him? His heart is in the right place and he takes his role as Alice’s protector very seriously. He’s all about giving her what she wants and needs. And even though he is tough and taciturn and downright intimidating on the outside, he is so soft and sweet on the inside. Not only did I melt in his scenes with Alice but his gentle rapport with her little boy Charlie was OVARY EXPLODING goodness. Gah! I cannot rave about this book enough. The dynamic between Alice and Slay is fascinating because she is not just some stereotypical baby girl. She is a hardworking single mom with ADULT responsibilities and they clash on many occasions as they try to find the right groove that works for them. While the sexual submissive inside her can’t help but respond to Slay’s toe-curling dominance, the independent woman and mother who was used to fending for herself struggles to submit in all areas of her life…even when it is for her own good. “For a girl who’d grown up in a household so conservative it made 1950s sitcoms look edgy, he was the ultimate bad boy fantasy” and a Daddy like Slay and the discipline and structure and nurturing he can provide appeals to her on an instinctual level because she feels powerless in so many areas of her life and it’s nice for once to have someone to lean on, to confide in, to cuddle with and to support her. But explosive attraction aside, can he truly be the man she needs and a good role model for her beloved son Charlie? Can their lives mesh? Does he have what it takes to earn her trust? As with all the books in the series, both of them make missteps along the way and their relationship is all about taking baby steps, communicating their wants and desires and needs and owning up to their mistakes and learning from them. “Ah. Control. It was at the very crux of everything they did. The give and take of power, the give and take of trust. It was where she'd find her ultimate fulfillment. But they'd have to work to get there. “ I think the authors should be applauded for giving an in-depth and fascinating look at the true nature of the daddy/baby girl dynamic (which I personally think has an unfair stigma attached to it in the mainstream erotic romance community because it is so woefully misunderstood). While this book does have some mild elements of age play there is no age-regression, which is not in my wheelhouse, and I was just swept off my feet from page one by the achingly beautiful love story that blossomed between this endearing couple. Plus Jane Henry and Maisy Archer did a fantastic job working in cameos of the recurring characters, providing juicy updates (hint a fan favorite MIGHT get life-altering news, just not saying who!) and planting yummy seeds for future books in the series. This dynamite writing duo is magic in motion and I just can’t get enough of this series! So if you like your BDSM erotic romances with scorching hot kink, your Doms big and brawny, uber-macho and heartmeltingly tender, your subs adorably feisty, and a fast-paced plot that dramatic, emotion-packed and sweetly satisfying, then you do not want to miss this latest installment! Only one small quibble—one book of Daddy Slay and his Allie-Girl is not nearly enough. I demand a Slayquel! 10++ SWOONALICIOUS SLATER STARS!

She might take part in the odd scene at The Club, but she’s Far too busy to be anyone’s full-time submissive after all or is she? And that’s all fine and dandy with her since the one and only dominant that she's fantasised about submitting to has given her nothing but mixed signals and heartache… or is this all about to change? But now that's about to change as he's set his sights on her for good, Slay's all in and will stop at nothing to have her in his arms bed and over his knee frequently. He will keep Alice safe and well-cared for. Will Alice trust Slay, even when it means she has to dig deep and ignore those pesky fears and instincts? Can Slay keep Alice safe from the very dangers that they face? Above all, can they overcome the obstacles that have been keeping them apart.....so that Slay can truly become Alice's Daddy, and Alice… His very own Babygirl? This book was brilliant from start to finish, I truly think the authors have such an amazing style together. I loved Loved Loved the characters Alice is amazing such a great mother she works so hard for her son and has done everything she can to make his life the best but know it is her turn to be cared for and that's where the super smexy Slay comes in he is hard but fair and all he wants to do is love care and protect his baby girl from harm. Can I just say how much this book seriously melted not just my heart but my panties as well.... swoon Slay has some of the best lines ever I defy anyone not to melt at his gruff tone. “You’re my babygirl. And Daddies always give their babygirls what they need.” Things will become a life and death dangerous situation, and it will be Charlie, Alice’s son, who proves to be a hero. Don’t judge a person by their size or looks, because looks can be deceiving, and eventually, others will see that it isn’t what you see on the outside, but what is inside a person’s heart and soul" 5 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books

I really did not enjoy this book. My biggest issue had to be the hero, Slay. I thought he came across as a stalker and obsessive to the point of abusive. Trust between the main characters is important, but I thought he was just demanding it without earning it. He basically stalked her for months, pushed her away and then decides she needs to trust him one hundred percent. I also was not a big fan of how he demanded her to do things without explaining or talking it over. If he had just said stay I really did not enjoy this book. If he had just said stay in, I'm going on a dangerous raid and need you safe or this dude is bad he has drug connections it would have went a long way in establishing trust in their relationship and made him come off better. Instead I wanted to strangle him. I also hated how he basically glanced over Alice's hard line. He should respect her enough to acknowledge her hard lines and come back to them to discuss once they have been in a relationship awhile.

This started off with a bit of potential then quickly devolved into rubbish. 1. Overuse of Daddy. Way to kill any significance through repetition. 2. KA-esque. The dialogue, the characterisations, the friendships etc. It's amazing how much influence KA has had on writers. They simply seem quite unable to divorce themselves from her tropes and to be original. Sadly. 3. No story. There is zero plot here. Just scene after boring scene. 4. His Babygirl is the fourth book in the Boston Doms series. I have read all of them and enjoyed them. As their love affair develops, there are many instances involving spankings and other punishments, as well a desire by Alexander to have Alice call him “Daddy” and accept that she is his “baby girl.” There is also a side story involving a drug dealer and a threat to Alice which Alexander foils – and all ends happily. While there are references to the characters in the other stories in the series, this story stands on its own.

Brilliantly written Daddy Dom love story. It’s heavy on the kink side, with lots of Spanking, age-play and D/s Trust is the red thread running through this story and I really feel Alice’s struggle. Allie-girl is just so sweet and it was so easy for me to relate to her feelings, both her love for Slay, but also her fear of trusting him. Once again Henry and Archer have proven their great penmanship and I can’t wait to read more from the enchanting duo.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I was given an arc of this by the author, and I was so excited to read! Slay is such a hardass and I knew he would be a hard Dom to please. Alice? She is a also a independent woman who has had to raise her son all on her own while working two jobs, she is also mouthy. I was perplexed at how these two would work! This novel is suspenseful, and also wonderful, I love how past characters show up, and I love how future stories are beginning! This story was definitely 5 Stars!!!!

The H sends too many mixed signals. In addition, this book contains one of my pet peeves about this genre. The H more or less says: "Trust me even though I've given you absolutely no reason to and you don't really know me that well..." Trust is earned, never demanded. This is, however, at least consensual -- which her more recent books are not.

The fact she gave into him appalled me when it wasn't just her life she was responsible for. She had a six yr old son to consider, and yet she blindly trusted a man she had been with for 2 days to keep secrets from her about drug dealers and criminals. Definitely not for me and likely not for anyone who thinks women should be respected!

This book was referred to me by a friend and I really enjoyed it. The Daddy Fetish is one that needs to be handled with a deft hand and Jane Henry & Maisy Archer definitely do that well. I'll be going back for the rest of their Boston Doms Series. Slay & Alice together, as they explored the Daddy/Babygirl relationship was a study in earning trust. They both had to learn when to listen and when to give. Slay's "Daddy" alpha nature was the perfect foil to Alice's innate submissive nature. Bigger, Harder, Better Alice went back and forth for me. As a mom, she's aces. As a woman, she struggled. What makes these women so determined to prove they aren't in danger, when people who care about them say different? Slay was also stubbornly tough to fully warm up to. He takes "Alpha" and goes overboard, even knowing he and Alice aren't on the same page. This couple brings back the club, titles, and while still mild, the steam is a touch harder than the previous book.

I would love to be Slay's baby girl. Alice is so lucky. I enjoyed their story in the series as much as I have the once's before. It is so nice to read about each character that I have come to love from the beginning find their love and see glimpses of them as I continue. A true series that I have truly enjoyed since I started. I hate to see the end of one , but I am excited to start the next. I know I will cry when I reach the end of the final book in the series

3 not my daddy stars Just like the other books in the series Slay is an alpha male who dominated , possesses, and protects Alice . The thing about this is he required her to call him daddy and she was his baby girl . I’m sorry but that totally grossed me out . I love alpha males but the daddy thing is just disgusting . For that reason alone I didn’t enjoy this couple as much as the others . If you can get past that and like Jane Henry’s other books then this is a good read .

Beyond the kink Trust is huge part of the d/s relationships in this series but Alice and Slay's story takes it to a whole new level! Their relationship beyond the kink of their sex life is fascinating and the struggle Alice has to trust completely is totally understandable. Of course, true love and respect are a huge help when trying to follow Daddy's rules!

Trust Daddy to give you a good story ;) I absolutely adore baby/Daddy, DDlg play, and Slay was a perfect Daddy. I don't know why, but I had a more difficult time seeing Alice as a baby girl. Regardless, the story was great and the conflict was a continuation of the drug cartel issue from previous books, so I do recommend at least reading book 3, Her Protector, first.
