Kate has been dreaming about co-worker Luke for over a year, knowing he's way out of her league. Instead of facing ridicule, she writes a romance with Luke starring in the hero role. Little does she know, Luke harbors the same feelings for her. But since their company has a strict no-dating policy, they keep their feelings to themselves. The more they're thrown together (work volleyball, anyone?), the harder it is to stay "just friends". Can Kate and Luke riskk their jobs and come clean to their boss and realize love really is Better Than Fiction or will they go down in flames? A fantastic workplace romance! Fun, flirty with a cast of quirky characters. The chemistry between Kate and Luke made my romantic heart race. A must read! My Rating: 5 stars

I'm horrible at writing reviews, but I won this book on a Goodreads giveaway so it only seems fair I write something. I absolutely loved this book! I couldn't put it down once I started it. It also helped that Kate was reading one of my favourite books Mister O. This is a great office romance and I would tell everyone that enjoys romance novels to read this. I will make you laugh multiple times over. I will be definitely checking out more of Susan's books when I get the chance.

*Beware: I may have mentioned a tiny spoiler.* Let me start off by saying that this book will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first Goodreads win. Thank you! Now onto the review. I've never felt a mix of emotions when reading a book but I did for this one. I laughed at the witty comebacks, I felt an ache in my chest when Kate cried after feeling rejected and overall fell in love with the characters (except McKenzie). After I reached page 33 i couldn't put it down. I so enjoyed reading the story of two co-workers who find love in an office. I took my time savoring this book. Kate as a budding romance writer and CFO Luke were interested in each other but it took a year for a connection. Id read this book again. Friendship, angst and love wind their way through this smoothly written story. I so enjoyed reading the story of two co-workers who find love in an office. I took my time savoring this book. Susan Coventry is an author I have come to love. I have read all her books and each one seems to be better then the last. Her characters are real and relatable as are the situations they sometimes find themselves in. Better Than Fiction is the tale of Kate Stephens and Luke Donovan. Little does she know he is experiencing the same sparks that she feels. But her place of employment has a strict non-fraternization policy so nothing will ever come of their sparks. Or will it? If you have read any of the author's previous books I know you will enjoy this one. All of her books are stand alones with no cheating and no cliffhangers. I always hate for her books to end and this was no different. Looking forward to whatever she is writing next.

Another excellent romance! Susan has written another sweet and sexy page turner! This book will keep you wanting to read the next chapter. The characters are very engaging and relatable. The interaction between the Kate and Luke will have you both laughing and rooting for them to be together. The conflict presented is one that I am sure many people have dealt with in the office environment. I highly recommend this book to any contemporary romance reader!

Left me feeling cold. Forced myself to finish it. Could have been better. Conversation was stilted and unimaginative. Characters seemed very one sided. Sex scenes were unemotional & stunted...almost juvenile. Characters personal lives & conversation were just as boring as their business lives & conversation.

Short review. Not my favorite from the author. It took sometime for me to really start to get into the book but once I did I started to enjoy Kate and Luke's slow burn relationship.

Pleasant romance This is a very pleasant and sweet romance. The characters and story are believable. Even the every day life at the office was believable.
