Can a terrorist become the hero? When Mohammed Hadadi arrived in the Sierra Madre, he wasn’t looking for redemption. He didn’t plan on rescuing the beautiful Indian woman and her son. He didn’t plan on putting himself between the people of the canyons and a deadly drug cartel. He certainly didn’t plan on falling in love. He didn’t plan on rescuing the beautiful Indian woman and her son. He didn’t plan on putting himself between the people of the canyons and a deadly drug cartel. He certainly didn’t plan on falling in love. He just wanted to race in an exclusive ultra-marathon with the Tarahumara Indians—the infamous running people. But that’s the thing about life deep in the canyons of the Barrancas del Cobre—when you’re already at the end of everything, sometimes there’s nowhere left to run. This is a read that's both fun and thoughtful with moments of action, humor and a lovely romance. What romance based on rescue, running and Abba songs could be anything less than lovely? It's a very fast read and I enjoyed the characters and their various relationships. I loved seeing the family aspects and the family that Joseph is looking to create all come together. This is the third in a series, but the author has provided enough pieces of information that you can read it as a standalone. However, I'd still suggest reading the other books as they're just as fun and knowing what came before adds a lot of depth to this volume. Note: There are a lot of Latter Day Saint references and themes in this book. This is part of the overarcing plot and character connections. It's a clean read with some violence and limited language. The romance is sweet with nothing heavier than a kiss or two.

Can people really change? This is an inspirational action/adventure story with a touch of romance. The theme of this heartfelt novel is how the power of God brings about the reformation of man for those who seek His will. It does not matter what denomination the characters of the book are. It only matters that God answers prayers and performs miracles. What I liked: • The rich descriptions of the canyons and deserts. It was easy to put oneself into the setting. • The good characters were all likeable. • The bad characters were ones easy to hate. • None of the good characters did anything stupid, just for the sake of adding drama, or moving the story along. • The book's editing was excellent and the writing strong. What could have been improved or changed: • I am not sure. Something was missing. This story was full of adventure and a small amount of romance. The book was a clean read, which I always appreciate. I highly recommend this book.
