Interesting but falling into the predictable phases already. Nothing really stand out, but I am a little intrigued about Ansels dreams. Ill continue to keep a look out for more issues as they hit my library. Interesting but falling into the predictable phases already. A good issue, I like the characters and the way they interact, and it is nowhere near as juvenile as I thought it would be when I originally picked it up. Looking forward to the rest of the series!

"Ansel has always had these strange visions of a world full of technology and other wonders. In Folklords #2, hes moving forward in his quest to prove those visions right. But before he can do that, he must survive the trials of his own world. Folklords is a delightful series that flips all of the tropes and expectations that come with a magical realm upon their heads. Here we have a teenager who sees visions of another world. But rather than seeing into a magical world, its the other way around. Here we have a teenager who sees visions of another world. But rather than seeing into a magical world, it’s the other way around. And all of the magical creatures think he’s a bit mad for going off on this quest. Thankfully, Ansel is not alone. Another villager, Archer, has decided to take up this very same quest. But the jury is still out on whether he’s going to end up being more of a help or a hindrance. But at least Ansel has some company?" Check out my full review over at Word of the Nerd

These issues are so short! I wish they were longer because by the time I'm into the story it's basically over. This is another interesting issue that picks up on the mystery of the folklords that Ansel is setting out to discover. We get hints about Anse's connection to our future and I'm interested in seeing where the series goes.

I am enjoying the folklore/fairytales that are intertwined within the story. I enjoy all of Matt Kindts works and this has not disappointed

What's not to like? Questing and a candy shack in the middle of the woods? Where is issue #3 already?
