Depending upon your focus, there is value in this book for more than those who wish to learn more about business strategy. For those who are looking for business strategies to adopt with their own business, this is an excellent book, especially if you have large growth goals. While he is passionate, Mr. Bet-David does not allow emotions to cloud his judgement; rather, he focuses on the facts, and presents those to his employees as self-motivators. This guide is not for the fainthearted. While there are great rewards for following the author’s guide, there is a cost (think family time, hobbies, etc.) and one would need to examine if this path would be worth the sacrifice. Interesting book, well-written, and plenty of ideas for your own situation even if you don’t own or have aspirations to own your own business. Five stars. My thanks to NetGalley and Gallery Books for a complimentary electronic copy of this title.

Excellent book on strategies to accelerate your career. The personal anecdotes and no-nonsense (almost harsh) style of writing reminded me of bestselling author Ramit Sethi. Like a readable American version of Sun Tsu - the Art of War. The tips and methods in this book are practical and totally work! I've used a couple in my own career, learning through trial and error. Hopefully, other readers can bypass the trial method and kickstart their career into high gear. Some chapters are not relevant Excellent book on strategies to accelerate your career. However, all readers will find practical nuggets of wisdom to turbocharge their professional careers.

There are two ways to read the book. The first one is to take it at face value as series of tips on how to live and set up your BUSSINESS to sell PRODUCT and make MONEY. And in that category, it works quite well - sometimes you get good starting tips, sometimes you get real valuable experience and sometimes you get complete mumbo from Marcus Aurelius to Einstein. And okay, why not. However, the second kind of reading was much more interesting for me. Do you want to understand the hustleporn mental There are two ways to read the book. Do you want to see how can man proudly present himself as somebody who "was interred to hospital on stress induced collapses many times, but always came back stronger"? This is the book you want to read. And if you connect these interpretations, it can tell you a lot not only about the author, but also about yourself.

I have gifted this book to my core team, top performers at our academy, and to my important circles. I read the book cover to cover in under 16 hours. Writing this review after my first read. The book will give you clarity and understanding, it delivers what is promised. But what you gather will depend on where you are at in life. Some of the later portions of the book you can understand it, but won't feel it till you experience them. Hence I recommend multiple reads or pondering, Dyana (meditation). Patrick has written in such a way that it's not boastful or egotistic but takes the point across to the reader. The book is full of examples from Patrick's own life and many others. In this sense, it makes it kinda like an autobiography as well. I personally loved all of those areas, especially those were destiny was guiding Patrick. Example Edwin backstab, his dad's heart attack, Dotty, Personality audit, Cathy Larson on approach, Shut down by Katty on his ideas, Ray Apparel investment, The big competitor suing Patrick on day one, and few others. if you read the book you will understand these are key events that happened in Patrick's life. Though it wasn't beneficial in hindsight, on the deeper level it was destiny guiding him to where he is today. The book also has many tools and techniques that you can use when facing challenges, as well as what not to do in business and life. It's riddled with golden nuggets and tactical steps. For hiring, firing, approaching investors, bootstrap, knowing people's mindsets, due diligence, steps to overcome problems, creating a comp-plan, building a team, understanding oneself. Hence, requires more than one read, and to be on your arsenal when facing challenges. It's a no brainer, must have read, more so if you are an entrepreneur or someone who wants to succeed in life. The best thing money can buy! I would also recommend gifting this book to people above your circle. People in power appreciate books. My favorite part is the example of IBM founder's vision, plan, and execution. Patrick did a video on this on Youtube (check it out). I took that example that was on the book and changed from' Building a Great Company' to 'World Champion' and taught to my kids (students). it was a very powerful message. You should do it too. Use the book to teach. Thanks, Patrick for creating this amazing book. I would love to read your next book which may come in a few years/decades. Can't wait! If you are free would love to play a game of chess with you, show you how I combine chess, business and life. Cheers, Sai Prahlad K from India

Pat, cannot disappoint. His Valuetainment channel for entrepreneurs is a must watch. He always produces high quality content, giving visdom/experience based advise and has a very unique perspective on things. He deconstructs current events and explains it from a different angle. The book is a mindset really. A philosophy and an overall guide how to think long term. It is all about your next 5 moves. You have to make some counterintuitive moves in life or business if you want to play a long game. Pat, cannot disappoint. His Valuetainment channel for entrepreneurs is a must watch. [Listened to book - Re-listen to] The thing that I love most about this book is Pat's entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to lay it all out on the line. This book is a raw yet polished account of the "overnight success" story of Bet-David yet it is not simply about him. It provides the reader actionable plans to craft your own journey to business / entrepreneurial / intrapreneurial success. The art of thinking It's all about seeing forward and palnning your moves and how other entities (corporates, people and etc..) will react, exactly like chess playing. Gives a new perspective and in my opinion successful philosophy towards life. If you've already watched Valuetainment for the last years you've probably familiar with a lot of stories here but it's still worth the reading.

I got to read this book as an ARC and liked it a lot! This book is full of personal experiences and interesting facts on how to grow your idea into a business and thrive. There are five area of focus: Master Knowing Yoursel, Master the Ability to Reason, Master Building the Right Team, Master Strategy to Scale and Master Power Plays. Working on those areas of personal/professional development can help to reach your goals.

The book that I was waiting for I consider PBD is my Mentor although I didn’t met him, so when he announced the he will release book, I was hoping he will explain the way he is thinking and his experiences, and that was a big portion of the book, so I consider this book is a book business book and self-development book, and it’s one of the best books I have read
