Marlon Brando was a complex man and a wonderful actor. I remember watching 'Streetcar Named Desire' and was enthralled with the acting. Brando absolutely pulsed on the screen (Vivien Leigh was no slouch either). That's when I realized what a great actor he was. Unfortunately, his acting achievements did not carry over to life. He lived a very messy life. I had hoped that this book would explain why Brando did not get his Oscar but sent an Indian woman to speak in his place. I never understood what his reasoning was behind that action. This book also didn't tell about the island Brando bought and lived on for much of his life. Otherwise, this covered the major points (Brando's early life, films, awards, marriages/partnerships, and later life).

I learned quite a bit from the brief biography. I knew very little about his early life before reading this. His list of movies and the number of Academy Awards that he has won is quite impressive. I had no idea that he has do many marriages, nor so many children from not only wives but from his long time live-in companion. The tragic story of his son committing man slaughter and his daughter's resulting suicide was so sad. Will He Be Forgotten? Thirty-six pages dedicated to Marlon Brando’s life is certainly not enough. This book follows the old show biz adage « Leave ‘em wantin’ more. ». And the reader certainly does. My only complaint and perhaps the one compliment I have offered for this series is that they offer enough material about the subject to cause the reader to understand that he or she wants more or has had enough. Sadly I want more and it’s not here. It’s quick and short, you can hardly go wrong, unless Will He Be Forgotten? Thirty-six pages dedicated to Marlon Brando’s life is certainly not enough. It’s difficult to fit everything about a person’s life into a book that can be read in an hour. This book does a pretty good job of highlighting the important events in Brando’s life. He was a fascinating and talented man.

Never too late to proofread These bite-sze biographies are useful and entertaining only if some effort has been made to eradicate spelling and grammar errors. This book would be so easy to fix

Interesting bio An interesting interesting bio, but his role in Mutiny on t he Bounty was completely overlooked. How did this happen?

This is an outstanding actor. He has played in Broadway and in many good movies. This book was right on. A great story of his life. I have seen almost all of his movies. A great man, I was amazed at the number of children he had. I loved the book about his life.

Pain and sorrow I am joyed raving about his early success and hell oh young he was when he first started an acting. And I also enjoyed meeting his friends and people who are associated with and in his later life I am joyed seeing his Participation in family life and also is sadness what his life was falling apart
