The attraction between him and Maggie had me gripping my Kindle and ignoring reality because it was so enthralling. They had a strong chemistry but were both dealing with past hurts that made it hard for them to give in to one another. Add in an overprotective older brother to that and it all leads to a sexual tension that just about burned my Kindle. I couldn't get enough of this story and even as I finished I wanted to go right back to the beginning and start all over again just to get more of Rhys and Maggie. They stole my heart instantly and were so adorable together even when they were denying that they would be perfect for one another. There was also some suspense added to this story which was amazing. I loved the mystery of trying to figure out Rhy's past and why he was so determined to believe that it made him bad for Maggie. Overall, this book was amazing and I will definitely be doing a re-read sometime soon. ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

Beneath The Stars is hauntingly beautiful and flawlessly written. This is AL Jackson at her best! Rhys and his Goddess Girl, Maggie have palpable chemistry and are unexpectedly drawn to one another from the very start. From beginning to end, I was caught up in their spell! Both of these flawed characters have so much hurt, so much to overcome. It was inevitable that I’d love them both intensely. Both characters are brilliantly constructed. Strong, yet vulnerable. However, it’s also the amazing way she builds suspense, tension, and makes my heart race story after story! I will never get enough of this and man oh man, did this book give me that in spades. I won’t divulge any details, but if you’re looking for an angsty, emotional, and sexy romance, this is for you! Highly recommended!

'Goddess girl..." Oh man, this book was so damn good! I was extremely honoured to have received an ARC from one of my favourite authors and so excited to read Rhys' story! Sure enough, I fell for Rhys Manning, hard. I knew he would destroy me, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Rhys and Maggie's story has by far been my favourite in the Falling Stars series, but I suppose the best was saved for last. Maggie is off-limits, the baby sister of one of Rhys' closest friends, twelve years younger and a girl he believes should stay far a way from a monster like him. But Rhys isn't a monster at all. I can positively say that this story will stick with me for a while to come. Loved it.

4.5+ stars Rhys Manning has always seemed like the fun-loving, easy-going, playboy of Carolina George. But the facade hides hard history and past pain. He lives with guilt, regret, anguish, and self-worth issues. And it seems like the demons from his past are starting to catch up to him. My heart hurt for him over and over. Maggie Fitzgerald is his friend Royce's little sister. An almost twenty-one-year-old woman who has lived both a sheltered and traumatic life and is just now starting to heal. She is broken, naive, anxious, fearful, but also has a crush on the bad boy Rhys. And she is determined to begin truly living and also help right some wrongs Rhys knows she is off-limits, but she seems to call to his broken soul on another level. And Maggie is so empathetic and can see under his defenses to the good man he has the potential to be but cannot seem to find by himself. They become friends, but can see into the other's depths and the chemistry between them buzzes and sizzles until it cannot be denied. Like all of these books, there are mysteries and secrets that gradually unravel and keep you guessing and waiting for the inevitable collision and repercussions. But Rhys has personal secrets and so does Maggie. And they are also trying to keep their attachment from others, especially her overprotective brother. But now there seem to be threats coming at them that could put her or others he cares about in danger. But are they coming at them for Rhys or Maggie's mistakes? This is a story about risks, trust, vulnerability, sharing pain, facing demons, and moving forward. Rhys is stuck in limbo where he could not go back or forward until dealing with his past. And Maggie needs to find her own way and to stand up for herself and fight for Rhys to help him believe in himself. And no matter how dark he believes himself to be, Rhys makes her feel safe and protected. These two damaged souls just felt destined to find each other and start to glue their fragmented pieces back together. She calms his storm and makes him want to be a better man, and he inspires her to live while also being protective. But it is not an easy journey and they have internal and external challenges along the way. It is a fight for each of them to save their souls and find a way forward to finally steal a bit of happiness they have been denied most of their lives. And to avoid those that want to destroy them. It is an intense, raw, tender, emotional, inspiring, and powerful, forbidden, opposites-attract, friend's-little-sister, friends-to-lovers, age-gap romance with a mystery and suspense element. It brings back all of the characters from Carolina George, Sunder, and A Riot of Roses that we have met along the way. And it wraps up the final pieces of the dark thread that has tied all of these stories together. Follow Me: Blog: Reviews by Tammy & Kim (Rachel and Jay) | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Instagram

The book follows Rhys and Maggie through their journey of following their hearts, trusting their feelings, and finding love!!! With Rhys 12 years older and being friends with Maggie's brother, the possibility of them becoming a reality seems very far off. The biggest obstacle though is Rhys's past, which torments him, consumes him, and kills his spirit. Will they trust what they have with each other? And let it blossom from a "never" to a "forever"? From the cover (hands down, this cover is STUNNING), to the mystery surrounding Rhys (i have to admit that i tried to "cheat" and find out his backstory from very early on), Maggie's strength (that girl shined like a diamond despite her trauma), and lyrical writing this book captured my heart!!! The writing... OH.MY.LOVE!!! Have you ever heard Italian? The way every single sentence sounds like a love song? Well, this is what you get from reading "Beneath the Stars"... The book might not be in Italian, but it does feel like 400+ pages of a love song! The perfect lyrical writing! Every sentence, every bad memory, every new experience, every feeling, it reads like the perfect fairytale! An absolute gem of a story, i enjoyed this book beyond words!

The premise of this book already had my grabbing hands gasping for joy: a tortured, misunderstood rockstar who falls for his best friends little sister who is twelve years younger than him?! SIGN. ME. UP. Rhys stole my heart from the very first page. He's harboring so much pain and guilt for destroying the lives of those he loved the most. He's hellbent on spending the rest of his life in solitude (as much as a famous rockstar can), and with a nefarious villian watching his every move and threatening harm to everything else that he holds dear to him, he refuses to get his heart involved with the one woman who is so off limits to him in every way .. But be just can't help himself. And you can't fight fate. Maggie is the epitome of a survivor. She has been through so much horrific pain in her young life, but she's determined to truly live -- no matter how scared that makes her. She has such powerful and intense feelings for Rhys, and even though he tries to deny it, the pull between them is so great that I felt like I was watching these two fall in love in real time. I could physically feel the longing and attraction between these two, and I couldn't help but feel so giddy that these two fell in love with each other the way they did. It may have been fast, and it was definitely intense, but it was so fucking *real.* I loved how Maggie felt everything that those around her would feel, and how that would personally affect her. She saw so much goodness in Rhys when all he saw was a monster, and it was just so freaking special how these two truly saw one another for who they really were. I just loved every single moment between them! Of course the danger aspect had me on pins and needles with a twist I honestly didn't see coming!! My jaw literally DROPPED. But that ending? P E R F E C T I O N!!! I know I say this with every book this author writes, but holy crap, this is the best book Amy has ever written!! I can't say enough just how beautiful it was -- you have to experience that on your own! I just can't recommend this book enough! And can we take a moment to just be in awe of that beautiful cover?! That neck grab gets me every single time!!🔥🔥🔥 **I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions.**

Maggie was such an amazing and strong character. She endured a horrific ordeal and my heart broke for her. All she wants is to move on, put the past behind her and live her life. She never expected that in doing so that Rhys would bulldoze right into her heart and change everything. Rhys shook me to the core. He went and burrowed himself in my heart. I felt for him and everything he went through and was still harboring. He’s such a good and caring man even though he might not think so. And when he sets his eyes on Maggie he knows it won’t end well. Rhys is at war with what he feels. On one hand he knows he should stay far away from Maggie, and on the other he can’t deny that pull that calls to her. One thing is certain though, he can’t deny what his heart wants. Maggie and Rhys were something magical. There’s no question they have this undeniable connection. They lit flames with their hot chemistry. These two both are fighting demons and trying to find the light. They both find solace in each other and entrust their hearts in one another. Maggie and Rhys were perfect together and their love was something kismet. Beneath the Stars hit me right in the feels. This gripping and heartbreakingly beautiful story of love was soul-searing. Maggie and Rhys’ story was everything and more and it had me soaring. A.L. Jackson brought her signature touch to this phenomenal story. Yet another great addition to the Falling Stars Series. *I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book*

"I feel broken. I feel freed. I feel this huge amount of relief that the chains are actually gone and now I can finally live, and at the same time, terrified that I don't know how. But I'm ready to try." Amy is a master at storytelling, a poet with words and this book, this was her masterpiece. This story had my heart pounding, racing with anticipation from the emotions drowning me in feels and the malignant evil lurking between the pages of this book. This story emanated hurt, strength, fear and love, so much love. "Every day of our lives is a risk, but I want to live each of them without being disabled by fear. In the best way that I can. I did it for so long, and I can't any longer. And that doesn't mean I'm not scared...it just means it's worth it." Rhys and Maggie's story was one that consumed my thoughts, seduced my heart and blew my mind. Their attraction was palpable, chemistry explosive and love was so damn swoon-worthy you felt deep in your soul. So be ready to fall in love "Beneath The Stars"! On paper Rhys and Maggie wouldn't make a lot of sense but sometimes two people complete each other and that was definitely the case for these two broken characters. In this book we learn more about Rhys' background and the flashbacks were beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I personally wouldn't have minded a couple of flashbacks to Maggie's past, but it probably would've made the book too long. The attraction and chemistry between these two characters was beautiful and pure. Maggie wants to get out of her shell and live her life. Rhys doesn't think he is good enough but he can't stay away. They were both so understanding of each other and I really appreciated how they both acted in certain situations. There was no heartbreaking or miscommunication but two adults trying to figure out how to be together. I loved seeing Maggie grow throughout the series, she went from a scared sheltered teenager to a strong and determined young woman. This being the last book I was happy that a setting was created where we saw all of the previous main characters be present. We even saw characters from other series, and I just loved being reunited with them. This book was really a great ending to the Falling Stars series. However, there were some parts in this book that I thought were a bit slow and I personally didn't like a couple of the nicknames the main characters had for each other. But overall I really enjoyed this emotional contemporary romance.

It’s life that’s complicated and often times messy. For Rhys “the stallion” Manning, loving Maggie Fitzgerald was never truly a choice but always a foregone conclusion. Their love was written in the stars, their hearts, joined together by fate. While falling for his goddess girl was easy, Rhys knew that keeping her was not. For years, this sexy, charismatic country rock star has hidden behind a mask of frivolity, promiscuity and feigned indifference, lost in a personal hell that offered no redemption. But in Maggie’s arms, Rhys finds solace, his beacon of light in the darkest of storms. Together, they discover paradise, even if paradise is just an illusion that isn't meant to last. Maggie Penelope Fitzgerald (aka, Mag-pie) is an empath who wears many different labels. She’s a sister, daughter, aunt, friend, music mogul heiress and Rhys’ sweet little siren. But “victim” is one label that Maggie will never, ever own, for she is a survivor through and through—one who wears that badge of honor with pride rather than regret. And as such, Maggie is determined to right her father’s wrongs, even if that road of good intentions is actually paved with dangerous intent. Despite their age difference and Maggie’s overly protective brother (Royce), Rhys and Maggie’s love is simple. Beautiful. Pure. It’s whenever life infiltrates their secret little bubble that their relationship turns complicated and very, very messy. Still, as I stood on the sidelines, cheering Rhys and Maggie on, I never once wavered in my belief that they would reach their HEA… no matter the obstacles that threatened to knock this couple off their pre-determined course. In this 4th installment to her Falling Stars series, “Beneath the Stars” is just the latest example of A.L. Jackson’s brilliance and incomparable talent. I have been a huge fan of this author’s writing for years, and she never, ever disappoints! A.L. Jackson puts her heart and soul into each new tale she spins, breathing life into her strong, imperfect characters that are exquisitely resilient and fiercely loyal. But above all else, there is the overriding element of love. Love, love, love... it has always been the foundation from which all of her stories are built and the single most important reason that I find myself coming back to her for more, time and time again. The enchanting prose only makes the emotion travel so easily across the pages of this novel! There was always something about Rhys that appealed to me in the previous books of the Falling Stars Series. His cocky personality was truly entertaining and I was ecstatic to see his romance unfold with Maggie. This story was so different then was I was anticipating, but in a very good way. Rhys hides so much heartache, culpability and self-loathing under his playfulness and humor. I was hurting for the man, slowly discovering his shameful secrets. I couldn’t stop reading, only seeking answers about his past. It was a very long journey to get to that moment where everything is unveiled, but so magical also. I adored how he’s such a good man with Maggie. He is a little reckless and doesn’t feel good enough for this girl that survived such atrocities. He doesn’t want to taint her more, and it just proves how good of a man he truly is when he’s so considerate with her. Maggie! Oh, how I loved that young woman. With what she lived through, she’s wise beyond her age. She senses Rhys's brokenness and vulnerability. She’s true and a good girl, but when Rhys keeps putting her in the friend zone, she tries everything to prove that they share something tangible. She’s daring and tenacious to prove her point to the man. This couple gave me chills from their beauty! Totally breathtaking! Their friendship was such a delight to watch grow into love and a burning passion! The presence of all the familiar and beloved characters from the Bleedings Stars Series / Falling Stars Series made this read even more interesting. In particular, Royce as Maggie’s s over-protective older brother; Emily, Richard and Violet as supportive friends to both Maggie and Rhys; and little Daisy who's so adorable with her uncle Rhys. This was truly heart-warming to witness all of them care for each other. A.L. Jackson is one of my favorite author for a reason! She always stole my heart with whirlwind romances overflowing with all the feels and a little suspense. The intrigue had me really surprised and hooked, ready for all the revelations. Beneath the Stars is another little gem from her I can assure you! ** ARC received in exchange for an honest review **

I need to feel this for a bit. We never know how long we have, and this is the first ture, real thing I’ve ever had.” A.L. Jackson has spun a beautiful and soul-wrenching love story that is sure to grab readers by their hearts and leave them gasping for each and every word… Let’s face it, I can’t say it enough. No one and I mean no one writes lyrical and angsty romance like A.L. Jackson. Her stories are about incredible journeys that the reader will feel deep in their very core. Beneath The Stars is no exception. Beneath The Stars is an unforgettable love story that will capture your heart and soul from the very first page. Rhys and Maggie’s story is one filled with incredible heart, pain, and oh, so much love. These two will pull you into their story right away and I dare you to not fall in love with these characters, with their story. Rhys and Maggie are two incredibly broken people searching for what will make them whole. Try as they might, they can’t fight the indescribable pull between them. Their journey is not an easy one. It’s one filled with mystery, drama, and of course a few bumps in the road. Rhys and Maggie’s story will leave you gasping, sighing, and holding your breath right until the very end. Beneath The Stars is a breath of fresh air that will leave readers with all of the feels. Beneath The Stars is a beautiful and unforgettable story. The writing is lyrical and spellbinding. It hit all the marks that I personally look for when reading an A.L. Jackson novel. This story is filled with heart, family, and so much love. It’s a story of finding peace and forgiveness. It’s a story about finding love and allowing yourself to be loved. It’s a story of letting go of the past and taking chances on what one wants most. It’s a story that will consume you and will have you devouring each and every word this story has to offer. It is the kind of story that you will remember long after you reach THE END… *I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

Beneath the Stars is a forbidden, older man Rockstar romance, set in the Falling Stars world. It’s only my second novel by Amy, but it will in no way be my last. Once again, I was captivated by her style of writing, so descriptive and so different, hooking you in with teases of what’s to come, enough to keep you interested and guessing, but playing the story out at the perfect speed. This book is hard to summarise, because there is so much going on that I don’t want to give away. Once again, I was captivated by her style of writing, so descriptive and so different, hooking you in with teases of what’s to come, enough to keep you interested and guessing, but playing the story out at the perfect speed. This book is hard to summarise, because there is so much going on that I don’t want to give away. Even though it’s part of an interconnected series, I picked up everything very quickly and it can be read as a complete standalone, and unfortunately I haven’t had time to read books one and two in the series, I will definitely be going back, especially as to how some of the previous characters were such a big part of this book. Rhys Manning is the last single member of Carolina George, the up and coming rock country band. The only woman who could tempt him away from his playboy ways is Maggie, twelve years his junior and his best friend’s sister-in-law, who is completely off limits, despite their insane chemistry. When Rhys accidentally puts her in danger, he goes off the grid, until 6 months later, they are suddenly living in the room next door to each other at a remote beach house whilst Carolina George records their first album. But it’s clear that Rhys is hiding something from his past which makes him scared of opening up to anyone, and very few people know the truth, on top of keeping his distance as per Maggie’s brother’s threats. Will Maggie be able to get him to open up, and in return, let him in on her own secrets? Maggie and Rhys were clearly made for each other, but they had to fight external forces, such as Maggie’s brother Royce, as well as their own demons before they could even consider a happy ending. I loved how they could be their complete selves with one another, tell each other their deepest secrets, even if it took them some time, and understood each other on a level that no one else ever had. Their bond was deep, because whilst they helped save each other, they also showed how they could both save themselves. Maggie had been through so much at such a young age, although it’s not really mentioned in this book, it’s implied. She wanted to do whatever it took to make it right, even though it was in no way her fault. She was so desperate to live her life the way she wanted, after being given what she saw as a second chance, and although she was afraid at some points, she never let that stop her. I loved how much she trusted Rhys, despite being told by everyone, including him, that she shouldn’t and how she let him in in a way she had never experienced with love. Her love for her brother, Royce, and sister-in-law, Emily was so great, and although at the beginning she felt like an outsider to the Carolina George group, by the end she was more than accepted as one of the family, something she had been craving for her whole life Rhys was a broken soul with a heart of gold. He was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders harbouring guilt which many told him was misplaced, but that never stopped him from trying to atone for what he believed were his sins. He kept himself at a distance from Maggie for so long, despite the feelings he had for her, because he honestly believed whatever he loved, he ruined. My heart broke for this man, because he spent years putting out this jokey, playboy façade, when underneath he was broken. He kept everyone from his real turmoil by putting this mask on, but it was one that Maggie could see straight through, straight to the kind and good man he was, despite how much he tried to convince himself he wasn’t. Beneath the Stars is a moving and twisted story which hooks you from the start. Amy’s writing is passionate, emotional, and so beautiful. Her descriptions were one of my favourite things about her writing, I could clearly picture every scene and feel every emotion. I devoured this book in one day, desperate to know what happens next. My only comment would be that the ending did feel quite quick and I maybe would’ve liked a bit more explanation, but that maybe just because I wanted to stay in this world and have more from these characters. I would highly recommend Beneath the Stars; Amy’s words are incredible, and she keeps you guessing the twists and turns of Maggie and Rhys’s story until the very last page. *I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. *

“Every day of our lives is a risk, but I want to live each of them without being disabled by fear.” Beneath the Stars gave me ALL THE FEELS. The chemistry and longing between Rhys and Maggie is so intense and combustible that it reaches out and grabs hold of your heart, rips it out and then pieces it back together. Bravo, A.L. She’s been through so much, but she’s still kept her innocence and belief that there is good in the world. She has so much strength of spirit and she will sacrifice anything for those she loves. Her connection with Rhys is soul-deep and she will fight for her love to save him. “I wanted to find this boy in his brokenness the same way as he found me in my dreams.” Rhys was so unexpectedly broken. Who knew under that lovable playboy exterior lived a man that was haunted by so many demons and secrets? The depth of his pain was unbearable and as much as he was drawn to Maggie, he was so afraid of ruining her yet he’s unable to deny their connection. His gentleness with her was beautiful. His struggle will break your heart and have you longing to heal him. “I got the sense that we’d been written in the heavens. That this moment had already been written in time. That it’d been coming for an eternity.” Rhys and Maggie together were magic. Through all the angst, they were able to heal each other and give each other hope of a future. They were soulmates and their love story was so beautiful and heartbreaking. Beneath the Stars was a beautifully tragic, heartfelt read that enthralled me from the first page. I was lost in the pages of Rhys and Maggie’s story and was sad to see it end. I love an angsty story that will pull at my heart and A.L. Jackson certainly delivered. This story was my favorite in the Falling Stars series and I can’t wait to see what is next.

Maggie Fitzgerald is young, not quite 21, but has her own scars. Her over protective brother has vowed she will not face any more pain in her life, but he also treats her like a child despite the quick growing up she was forced to undertake. Maggie feels emotions around her stronger than anyone else; she is able to sense when others are in pain. Maggie feels Rhys’s midnight terrors and can’t help but try to comfort him, even as they both try to protect their hearts. These two had such an emotional journey. I loved every twist and turn of the story, and as their pasts seemed to be twisting closer to each other, I loved the surprise little threads that only became clear as they were in motion. Once again, A.L. Jackson has built a story that pulls you in and shows just how dark places can bring light when the right person is there too. I loved the way Maggie and Rhys lifted up and supported each other, causing each to fight for the first time in a long while - to find the strength to face fears, guilt, and the past in order to build a brighter future. This is the final Falling Stars novel, and felt like a fitting end to the series. Follow Me: Blog: Reviews by Tammy & Kim (Rachel and Jay) | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Instagram

So out of reach he might as well be a poster tacked on my wall. Too bad every time he looks at me, my heart races out of control. Now, I’m stuck living with him for the entire summer… We’re only supposed to be friends. Still, I should have known it was a terrible idea when I started sneaking into his room. Especially when it’s clear he’s keeping secrets. Secrets that might destroy us both. One touch, and I want more. One kiss, and I’m spiraling out of control. I went into this book hoping for a more straight-forward kind of romance than it's predecessor and I have to say that Jackson delivered just that. Yes, there is still a ton at play as the forbidden yet beyond undeniable attraction between these two wounded souls increases with each turn of the page. But the family that surrounds them as they all settle on Tybee Island to record a new Carolina George album gives them both a chance to feel lighter and full of a hope that previously alluded Rhys and Maggie. And as I delved deeper into this at-times complicated story-line, I understood all the whys and honestly couldn't wait to see the happy that undoubtedly would happen. The Stallion and his Goddess Girl. Holy smokes, the desire in their souls for one another was evident right from the start. Maggie and Rhys had this almost ethereal connection, feeling the others' pain and knowing when the other needed reassurance and understanding. I was taken with the way they were seemingly bound to one another and how they truly were, without a doubt, each others' savior in more ways than one. Darkness from their pasts try and get in their way, together with the well-meaning overprotectiveness from Maggie's big brother Royce, but their strength both separately and together was no match from whatever still haunted them. The laughter and joy they were lucky enough to have close-by thanks to bandmates and family gave this story some much-needed levity, particularly from the adorable Daisy and the sisterhood in Violet, Emily and Mia. What I wouldn't do to be able to hang with this amazing crew for just a day. Rhys and Maggie found their way to each other but it's not without plenty of bumps in the road and some jaw-dropping events that happen later in the book. Jackson doesn't hold back with gorgeously sexy times and truly touching moments that give this tale all the feels and more. Their romance is front and center despite all that is going around them and the deep, dark thoughts that keep them up at night and I loved that that was the most important aspect of this book no matter what. Beneath the Stars is the story of redemption, second chances and that crazy-good little thing called true love. There is an abundance of it throughout this well-written book and I devoured each and every moment. I can only hope the incredible Melanie gets her story told next. The unflappable manager is a favorite of mine, always taking care of her men and needing an equally strong partner to call her own. A must-read that continues my unabashed love affair with AL Jackson's words, I happily give Beneath the Stars a huge 5 stars!
