4 stars Spin the wheel. Date the guy. Write the book. Kitty Valentine has spun the wheel once again, and this time, it lands on an actor. Kitty takes a different path this time finding an actor beau to write about. She reaches out to her fans. She ends up at an acting workshop and that's where she meets Rafe. Rafe stands out from all the other actresses and actors in the group. He's more talented and takes things more seriously. He has that 'it' factor. Kitty and Rafe really hit it off. 4 stars Spin the wheel. Date the guy. Write the book. Kitty Valentine has spun the wheel once again, and this time, it lands on an actor. Kitty finds Rafe insanely attractive, but she's not the only one. It seems all the women in his group do. Kitty is spending more time with Rafe and working on her book when Rafe gets the opportunity of his career. I love Kitty and Rafe was a likable guy as well. I didn't love him as much as the firefighter, or the doctor, but overall he was a good guy. I still hope deep down Matt might be the guy for her. Only time will tell, though. I enjoyed this one lots and I especially loved the scene with Matt, Rafe, and Phoebe. It was nice to get more Hayley and grandma as well. It seems that with each new book, Kitty is getting more and more successful in her career. Now it's time for her to find the guy. Will the best man be it? I'm looking forward to reading the next book and finding out! This is another exciting installment in a series that's kept me hooked!

She has been delivering what they want but they want her to up her game a bit. Not just in her writing style but by being more active on social media and connecting more with her readers. After spinning the wheel once again it lands on ‘Actor.’ She decides to use her fanbase to find a local actors group that she can go along to, to help with research on her next story. This is where she meets Rafe, a charismatic, gorgeously talented up and coming actor. Kitty is not the only girl in the room who finds him irresistible but when they part ways he is keen to see her again. Let the dating cycle begin. Kitty usually is quite cautious and keen to take things slow with the men she dates but something about Rafe has her all hot and bothered. ‘It’s like I’ve been holding my breath for years, and I finally have the opportunity to let it go. Somebody gets it.’ She hasn’t dated anyone who works in the creative space, like she does, and it’s refreshing to be with someone so passionate about what they do. She thinks Rafe is incredibly talented and once he gets his big break there will be no stopping him. The feeling is mutual, Rafe thinks Kitty is super clever and should be proud of her achievements. Kitty feels really good about where things are heading with him and maybe there could be more… ‘This guy gets it. He gets how hard it can be sometimes. That my work is more than throwing a few sex scenes onto the page, strung together by a thin plot.’ Of course no Kitty story would be complete without a few interruptions from her neighbour Matt and fur baby Phoebe :) Her interesting conversations with her Grandmother and girl time with her bestie Hayley. There are a few interesting developments for all of these people in this story.

Okay. I’m still laughing out loud. I swear, Kitty cracks me up. As for the boyfriend, well, man-bun wasn’t my favorite... but I can feel things progressing with a certain neighbor and I am pumped to keep reading! The comedy in book 5 was off the charts. There’s so many hilarious parts in this book. If you like RomCom, then the Kitty Valentine series is for you! 4.5 ⭐️ I loved this book, it was so much fun. They’re all so good. I definitely wanted more Matt in this one, but I didn’t hate the guy, not my favorite though. I still love seeing Kitty grow as an author and a person and I love seeing her relationship with Hayley be consistent through it all. Also, let’s be real, Phoebe is the star of these books. so cute 🥺

Spin the wheel. Date the guy. Love makes us do all sorts of things we cringe over afterward. Matt tips his head back, tossing dumpling in the air and catching it in his open mouth. “That’s a good way to choke to death. Not that I’d mind it if you did.” “Please. What would you do without me? I shudder to think.” “I did pretty well without you for about twenty-four years, thanks.” “That’s up for debate.” “Do I pass muster?” he asks with a wry smirk. “Honestly?” “I would expect nothing less.” “Yeah, you pass Spin the wheel. You look good, and you know it.” “I just wanted to hear it from you.” He winks before turning away, and he whistles as he jogs down the stairs. What’s this feeling in my chest? This strange tightness, which also feels ever so slightly like disappointment? I guess maybe I’m feeling a little lonely right now. People who are in the honeymoon phase of their relationship want everybody to feel the same way they do. I don’t need him blasting horror-movies sound effects this time around. I still haven’t gotten over that, especially since his timing couldn’t have been worse. It was bad enough for a man to whisper another woman’s name in my ear while in bed with me. The ear-piercing shrieks that immediately followed made me want to scream along with them. “How did you know he has long hair?” I know I haven’t described him. In fact, this is the first time we’ve talked since I met Rafe. His face goes slack for a second, and I swear, his cheeks flush just a little. But that might be a trick of the light. “You’re going to make a big deal out of this.” “Out of what?” “When he was leaving the other night, I was just getting in. I swear, I had literally just stepped into my apartment and closed the door when I heard our door open. So, I looked out the peephole. I wanted to get a look at this guy.” “You’re such a sneak!” “Don’t even pretend you’re never done the same thing. I know you have. I could hear you breathing on the other side of the door one time when I was saying good-bye to somebody after she spent the night. Don’t bother lying,” he warns before I have the chance to say anything. “Will your characters have a happy ending?” “That’s the whole idea,” I whisper back with a grin. “A happily ever after is guaranteed. I wish life were that simple, don’t you?” Matt and Kitty’s banter beyond perfect. The scene where Matt comes into Kitty’s bathroom to check on her, aww!! And at the end of the book, with Kitty, Matt, Hayley and Phoebe, perfect! I like the little mentions from the previous books, like the mention of Jake from Kitty Valentine Dates a Doctor. It seems like with each book, Matt and the guy that Kitty is dating, the tension gets more intense, between Matt and Kitty, and Matt vs the “love interest”. Rafe is a likable guy. But of course, you all know that I’m team Matt and Kitty. This series just keeps getting better and better. I mean, all the previous books, I rated them 5 stars, except for Vitty Valentine Dates a Rock Star, that book I gave 4 stars because of Kitty’s “love interest” in the book. These books are a delight, keeps a smile on my face and makes me laugh all throughout the books. 5 stars.

One actor in particular shines brighter than them all and Kitty lands a date with him. While this series continues to explore each trope, it's not cookie cutter as each situation is unique. What sticks out with me the most is how we are able to see Kitty grow through each experience. The problem for me is I need her to grow into her hot neighbor and not all these other men. Alas, we all must kiss some frogs to finally find our prince.

I was so excited to have a new installment of the Kitty series. I adore Kitty and feel that she has grown so much since this series started. It would be nice if she would give herself a little more credit than what she does, but that's something we all struggle with. I didn't love this book, but I also didn't dislike it either. It just fell flat for me. I didn't feel like there was as much depth as the previous books. I was so excited to have a new installment of the Kitty series. Kitty is back && better than ever! She’s spun the wheel again && landed herself an actor!! Another trope, another guy Jillian makes us fall for. Book 5 in the Kitty Valentine series sees her dating an Actor. Each book has Kitty finding the guy in a different way and in this book, Kitty reaches out to her fans. Rafe the actor was a great guy. I loved how he brought Kitty out of her shell and taught her not to give up. However he was not my favorite as I still love Matt and will keep rooting for him. One of my favorite things about this series is how Kitty not only grows as an author but as a person and I love that she’s challenged here in a different way than before. So she goes to.... an acting class. And she meets Rafe. Rafe is a nice enough guy. For some reason I found myself not trusting him (no idea why). But I liked the story. And she meets Rafe. Rafe is a nice enough guy. For some reason I found myself not trusting him (no idea why). But I liked the story. Kitty is getting impatient with him because he’s so serious and taking things slow. He actually ends up being a really nice guy. Matt is still my absolute favorite. And Phoebe. I also love how much basically everyone loves Phoebe. But Matt is more and more playing the part of Kitty’s protector and I want her to choose him. Please tell me that this happens. This is a fun installment but so necessary. Kitty has to decide what SHE wants and where she sees herself going. She has decisions to make. In each book, Kitty ends up growing so much as a person. As much as I love the romance and the guys she’s meeting, I also like to see her growth and how she handles the obstacles life throws at her.

Another date for Kitty when she tries getting up close and personal with an actor. This story was light and sweet as Kitty tries to get to know Rafe a little deeper but her personal relationships all seem to be going through some angst. I liked Rafe but everything seemed a little superficial since his craft was always his number one focus. I definitely was rooting for a little more steam just like Kitty. As always I find Kitty’s life entertaining as her experiences help her come out of her shell Another date for Kitty when she tries getting up close and personal with an actor. I loved this installment of Kitty Valentine! Dating an actor was such a great premise and it was fun to see Kitty use her social media in her efforts to meet someone. Rafe was pretty darn swoon-worthy. Best friend Hayley had a bit of her own storyline, and I enjoyed getting more of neighbor Matt and his adorable dog Phoebe. Grandmother is definitely one of my favorite characters and I love how she tells it like it is to Kitty. This was yet another fun Kitty dating adventure! Her spinner stopped at "actor," and with help from a fan, she finds Rafe. I really enjoyed the character of Rafe. He seemed passionate, goal-oriented, sexy...all good things for Kitty. I was really rooting for the pair! It's hard to get too invested in the relationship, as the reader knows there are several more Kitty Valentine books to come. But it's fun to get swept along on Kitty's single gal in NYC adventures and live vicariously through her i This was yet another fun Kitty dating adventure! I absolutely adore this series and I look forward to each new entry and to seeing what kind of guy Kitty will be dating this time, but ultimately rooting for her to find love. I had so much fun reading this and Rafe was definitely another great guy. I can't wait to see where Jillian will be taking this characters and I look forward to the next part of this journey.
